Staffa church welcomes young people
Debbie Hoekstra led the service of wor-
ship Sunday at the Hibbert United Church,
with a good crowd in attendance.
Rev. Bert Daynard was in charge of the
communion service, when the congregation
welcomed four young people into church
membership. They were Joan Kerslake,
Debbie McLeod, Jenny Fuller and Kip
Daynard.
During the service Sunday -School pupils
were recognized by their teachers. Teacher
Gwen Harburn made a presentation to the
under- five-yeatuoids, Adam Bennewies,
Brett Dearing, Eric Scott and Tim Kemp.

Queensway residents enjoy parade
Hello, and welcome to Queensway News.
To start off, residents have to mention the
super time they had last Saturday at the
Hensall Parade. They hope everyone caught
a glance, and gave them a wave when the
Queensway float passed by. For the people
who were on the float, they enjoyed every
second on the parade, and were very proud
to represent ;heir home.
An event like the parade cannot go by
without saying some very deserved thank
you's. To begin they'd like to thank all the
volunteers, and staff members who came
out Saturday morning to help decorate.
Queensway would also like to thank the en-
tire Gascho family for helping out, and for
putting a Iot of time and effort into the float.
Thanks to everyone, the Queensway float

was a success!!
Monday afternoon was set aside for Music
Fun. Several got together to enjoy a wide
variety of music. It was a very enjoyable
and relaxing afternoon.
On. Tuesday afternoon, Queensway had
the pleasure of welcoming back Pastor Van
Essen, who conducted an enlightening
church service, and residents look forward
to his next visit.
Wednesday morning at 10 a.m., the Ladles
Auxiliary met and discussed several upcom-
ing events, Then in the afternoon Sue Cross
for "New Age Looms" in Toronto, dropped
by to give a weaving demonstration, as well
as to let residents try the new age loom.
Thursday evening the movie of the week
was shown at 7 p.m. This weeks' feature was
called "Fiji .. It was a travel film about the

The residents of the Seaforth Manor en-
joyed a busy week with visitors, activities.
and outings.
They` would like to extend an invitation to
anyone in the community who would like to
attend their Strawberry Social. It will be
held on Saturday, dune 20, 1987 from 2 to 4
Ilan. All proceeds will be going toward the
Alzheimers Society, so please come out and
support such a worthwhile function.
On Monday evening the residents enjoyed
the entertainment provided by the Nor -
aside United Church Choir and children.
The five Seaforth High School students
that have been Visiting with Dave and Eva
Netzke, Cassie Nicholson, Ed. Dann and
.Alfie Sykes this winter said their good-byes
Lionsy morning at a picnic held in the
Park. The students played games and
presented the residents with a corsage.
On Wednesday afternoon Jackie Racho
took tennis Arneyle the Canadian National
tnstitpte for the Blind picnic in Mitchell.
Dennis danced his Way through the full
afternoon and won a prize for the number on
mt narile g.
Thursday afternoon - � y euchre was held with
the help of the volunteers. Lunch teas pro-
vided by Margaret Lane and Mary
Finlayson. Prizes were donated by Mary
McTver. Winners were high lady: Margaret
Srirale, Lone Hand: Mamie Ross, and Edith
Salo, Men's High: Alfie Sykes, Lone Hand,
Jim Nolan, and Frank Snale.
Heat wishes are extended to Eva Netzke
oil her 94th birthday. Rose Altman made her
mother a beautiful birthday cake, which,
was knjoyed by h'er parents and husband

two sisters and their husbands Mr. and Mrs.

for the purpose of receiving the annual reports of the board of Trustees and of the officials and
to elect four Trustees.
The public is invited to attend
The.by-tows of Seaforth Community Hospital provide that the board of trustees shall include 12
trustees to be elected by members of the hospital corporation.
-= MEMBERSHIP
The by -lows provide with respect to members as follows:
(1) The following persons shall be members upon resolution of the Board:
(a) A person who has denoted or who donates 5500.00 in any one year to the Corporation
shall'b'e a fife member.
(b) the pr'esident o'r designated officer of an association or organization who pays the
Corporat-ron 525'.00 in any yea/ shalt be an ex officio member of the Corporation for that
year.
(c) A person wh'o pays the annual membership fee to the corporation in any year shall
be a member of the Corporation for that year. The amount of this fee shall be established
from time to time by resolution of the Board of Trustees.
(d) Persons appointed honorary members shelf not be subject fo fees.
(2) A member who pays his fees annually shaft not be entitled to vote at any meeting of
the corporation unless his membership fee eras paid in full AT LEAST THIRTY DAYS PRIOR
TO THE DATE OF THE MEETING.
By resolution df the Beard the annual membership fee has been established at two dollars.
