There was a surprise potluck supper held
at the Seaforth Manor Thursday night as
residents and staff• said goodbye to .Ad-
ministrator Anne Helm, who is moving to
Toronto with'her husband.
Mrs. Helm wag presented with an Alfie
Dale painting and a crystal candy dish.
• Residents also gave her a flower arrange- .
ment in a shell, -which they had painted,
themselves.
In a second presentation Friday Patrick
Ryan and Lucy Bezzo, on behalf of the
residents, presented 'Mrs. Helm with an
engraved silver serving tray.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Patrick Ryan was top bowler in the Mon-
• day league and Lucy Bezzo and Frank
• Smale were the winners of the wheelchair
bowling on Tuesday.
On Wednesday Reverend Vanslyke held a
communion service with the resitlents.
Edith Dunlop accompanied the hymns on
the piano.
On Thursday morning exercises were held
in the dayroom. In the afternoon euchre was
played with three guests from Maplewood
Manor, -also in attendance with the regular
crowd.
The euchre winners were. Patrick Ryan
and Gertie Taylor, high hands; Cassie
Nicholson and Allan Tremeer,•lone hands;
Irene Omand and Willie Tremeer, consdla-
tion.'Prizes .were donated by Mary Chapple.
The next euchre will be May 14 at 2 p.m.
On Friday residents attended a funeral
service for Dr. Ernest Sadlier, a former
resident of the Manor. They send their sym-
pathies to the family..
On Saturday residents attended the Har-
mony King's .Spring show, held in.conjunc-
tion with the Home and Garden Show.
On Sunday residents went to the com-
munity centres to pick up their display.
ABOUT PEOPLE
Audrey Cameron visited Verda Cameron.
Bill Scott was visited by his sisters, Ina
and Ellen, of London.
Frank Srnale went home to see his wife
Margaret. Manor residents are sorry to
hear she is now .in Victoria Hospital, Lon-
don. She is wished a speedy recovery.
Mark Rypn and Mary Margaret Maloney
visited her mother Mary Ryan.
Rose and Pat Altman visited her parents,
• Dave and Eva Netzke.
Mr. Ginzburg and friend, of London,
visited his brother-in-law, Mort Mann.

residents enjoy fun games
Queensway Nursing Home residents spent
Monday afternoon enjoying Fun and
Games, always a favorite activity. But the
fun didn't stop there, because in the evening
the ladies from the Presbyterian church
dropped in to run the evening Bingo. ,
Tuesday afternoon residents held weekly
church. Pastor Alies came in to conduct the
service.
Wednesday was truly a busy day at
Queensway. Barb Dale and Kathy Dallas
from Durham College came in and helped
with activities for the full day.
At 1:15 p.m. with the help of Joyce Pep-
per, the choir got together to exercise the
old vocal chords. Immediately following the
practice several got together for April's
Baking Club. This month's specialty was
bran and date muffins.
Thursday evening it was time for the
movie of the week. The movie was called
Large Animals that Once Roamed the
Prairie by Walt Disney. Since the film was
Only 12 minutes long. Residents also watch-
ed the Royal wedding of Sarah and Andrew.

Friday afternoon it was time for the April
Cards and Games Party. Residents had the
pleasure of having friends from the Nor-
thcrest Apartments come in to play euchre.
Kelly Johns came•in from South Huron high
school to volunteer for the afternoon
activity.
REST HOME
This past week the Rest Home was very
busy. There was the monthly Birthday Par-
ty last Wednesday. At this time they'd like
to wish Muriel Gunning, Margaret Smith,
and Rein Upshall a very Happy Birthday,
and all the Instill the coming year. The Hen -
sail Beavers were in on April 16 to check on
the bulbs they helped residents plant when
they visited in March.
