The Junior Agriculturalist Program is
designed to give urban students between the
ages of 18-18 as of January 1, 1987 a chance
to gain some valuable agricultural ex-
perience. The program is aimed at bridging
the urban -rural gap. Students are interview-
ed and placed on a suitable farm for a nine
week period extending from mid -Jude to
mid-August. The student receives $20 per
day as a training allowance, with the farmer_
contributing $10 and the government the re-
mainder. The farmer also provides room
and board.
Applications are now available at the Clin-
ton OIVIAF office for students and Junior
Agriculturalist host farmers.
