Pitch -In '87
WHEREAS litter pollutes our parks,'recreetionalareas,,beaches, highways and school grounds
by defacing them to our sight; and .
WHEREAS litter can be dangerous by causing physical harm to man and animals; and
WHEREAS thoughtlessness and negligence are the main contributory factors In the occurrence
and spread of litter; and •

WHEREAS the. Iitter can be reduced by modern technology, education, streamlined enforce•
mentand updated litter by-laws, and responsible packaging; and '
WHEREAS the Town of Seaforth is•concerned with the•problems caused by litter and to bring
it to the attention of the public it is deemed appropriate to appoint the week pf May 4 to. 10,
..1987, as the start of the "Pitch•In '87" campaign in the Town of Seaforth, and urge all citizens
to co-operate with the Town of Seaforth in theeliminatian and reduction of litter and littering.
Senior Citizens wishing assistance in cleaning up their properties are asked to phonethe follow•

Beach Boys-perform-at—public-school

Mrs. Bennett's Grade 2 class at Walton
Public School did egg ventures last week.
Students tested hard boiled and raw eggs
by floating them, rolling them, spinning
them, shining a flashlight at them, and cut-
ting them open.
They made hot cross buns and dyed eggs.
They had an Easter egg hunt. They found
things but about eggs. They liked doing it.
