schedule change
The strategy, which wasto have original-
,ly started in September 1966 and take nine
months to complete, will include a
background as well as strategy report, and
is valued at approximately. $12,000.
The Mainstreet committee said the
Mainstreet project started late in
September and has occupied more of the
coordinator's time than was originally
estimated. Based on that fact it was felt the
schedule should be altered to have the
background study completed by mid-June
and the strategy by mid-September.
The schedule change would allow the
study to include a more in-depth survey of
both the existing businesses and Seaforth
consumers than the terms of reference call-
ed for, therefore providing a more useful
product in the end.
The study would also be able to incor-
porate the findings of the Heritage Canada
Resource team visit, set for Next week. The
Team's report and recommendations are
.expected to be available by late May.
Provincial- Minstry officials in London
have already verbally approved of the
change, but a council resolution and letter to
make it formal, are required.
