CECILIA RYAN 345.2028 Mr. and Mrs. Joseph .L Ryan celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, March 27. Mr. and Mrs. Ryan were married on March.30, 1937 at St. Peter's Cathedral, London. Their attendants 50 years ago were• Oscar Tiede of Kitchener and Anne Mc- Eachen ofParkhill and were in attendance for the celebration. The celebration began with a "Mass of Thanksgiving" at 7:30 p.m, at St. Columban Catholic Church 'with 'Father A. Sipek, celebrant, Guests were ttSheredby Ron and Ken Ryan. Soloists were Margaret Ryan and: Jolene.Cronin. Altar boys were Stephen, Bill and. David Ryan and the gift bearers were. Colleen .Cronin and Wayne Ryan, During the mass Mr. and l i : Ryan erenewed their marriage vows. Mr, and Mrs. Ryan ha1;e a family of five children; Mildred (Mrs. James Cronin), Ron and his wife Mary of St. Columban, Catherine (Mrs. Lou Masse)of Zurich, Ken and his wife Carol of RRA, Dublin and Joan (Mrs. Bob Cronin) of Dublin. There are 32 grand- children and 8 great grandchildren. Barracks, London spent the weekend with Ron and Mary Ryan., SMART SLICKS • The McKillop 4, 4-H Club "Smart Slicks" held their fourth meeting at Ricki Vansteel- andt's on March 24. This meeting was a clothing fix fest which showed the girls how to mend their clothing. They also discussed doing laundry and taking the .necessary steps of sorting and pre- treating stains. They learned tips on storing their clothes properly. The next meeting will be'on .March 31 at 7 ' - 'p.m. at Carol Ryan's.
