The Meeting ' was. based on making decisions which are reasonable and im- portant. A discussion took place on what kinds of . things to Lake note of before purchasing any items, such 'as the mine and standards of the product. The girls talked about how to make the best use of their money by purchasing affordable and necessary items. FINALGAME •• The final game in the Knights of Columbus' weekly euchre was held on Friday evening in the K. of C. Following discussion it was decided next year'S scout banquet will again take the form of a family potluck dinner following the annual church service. Margaret Schrader reported the Beavers. had toured the fire hall and a dentist's office in Mitchell, and have plans to visit the Mitchell Police Station in Alin!. Discussion centered around the strengths and weaknesses of the church and the hopes for its future. On the previous Monday a gathering was held at John and Carol Ann Scott's home. NEPA LSTUD1ED Lillian Douglas opened the Marian Ritchie Women's Missionary Society meeting on March 17 with a few facts about St. Patrick and a reading on missions. Doris Miller gave the scripture, devotion and prayer. Hazel Harburn was in charge of the business when an invitation to Seaforth's Spring Thankoffering on April 8 was received. The annual Good Friday potluck dinner was discussed. All women and children of the community as well as former W. M.S. members are invited to the dinner on April 17 at 12:30. Eleven members answered the roll call by naming one of the countries in the Southeast Asia Study. Edna Stoneman gave the topicen saving things, using a column from Enna Bonbeck's writing as the basiS. The study book on Nepal was taken by Ruth Laing. Until 1950 Nepal was an isolated country, not allowing other people to come in dr their own to leave. By doing this they hoped to keep evil influences out and to preserve the purity of their Hindu religion. The United Mission to Nepal now works there, but under very strict governmental control. Under penalty of death no Nepalese person is allowed to change his Hindu religion to any other form of religion. A lunch of SL Patrick's punch, muffins, and Feast Day cookies was served by the committee in charge assisted by the hostess, Huth Laing.
