He Was 72, • He is survived by his wife; the former Freda Pollard; one daughter Elizabeth and her husband JaCk Coultes, of Kincardine, and one son John and his wife•Edith; of Brussels. ' Also. surviving are six •grandchildren, Debbie Campbell (Coultes), Kevin • and Blaine Coultes, and Murray, Gary arid Neil • Pipe; three great grandsons, Corey, Tyler and Nicholas Campbell; and two brothers, Uoyd of Seaforth and Jack of RR 4, Brussels. • Acting as pallbearers were -grandsons Kevin and Blaine Coultes, Murray, Gary and Neil Pipe and Laurie Campbell. • The funeral service was.held March 10 at the Watts Funeral Home with the Reverend' Vic Jamieson officiating. Iowa and formerly of Seaforth, died Wednes- • day; February 11, 1987 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center. A retired senior vice president of the Des Moines insurance •company now named the Principal Financial Groups, Mr. Archibald was the second highest officer of the • company. He managed the company's group insurance division, and premium income quadrupled under him.., - Mr. Archibald moved to the Des Moines area when he joined The Bankers life in 1934, He was named a vice president in 1946 and became. senior vice president in 1963. He retired in 1970. • He was a member of Plymouth Congrega- tional Church, served as president •of - Plymouth Place, a Des Moines retirement home, and was a past president of Iowa Children's and Family Service. He was also a memberof the Des Moines Club, Rotary Club and Prairie Club. Ile is survived by his wife, Helen; a son Bruce of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and a daughter Jean Welch of Clearwater, Florida. Also surviving are three brothers, A.W. of Gnelph. Fltrik of Chatham and Robert of Seaforth; two sisteis, Alice Archibald of Barrie and Isabel Sherwood of Brockville; three grandchildren and a great-gmndchild. REVEREND ERNEST DONA1D STUART The Reverend Ernest Donald Stuart, C.D., M.A. MD., died Thesday. March 10, 1987 at Victoria Hospital, Loridan. Hewes 76. A son Of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Stuart of London, the Reverend Stuart had an extensive career in the Chaplaincy Service of the Canadian Arrried F.orces and was a Minister' of the United Church of Canada, serving charges in Trowbridge, Morpeth and Brueefield. He had been health for some time. The Reverend Stuart is survived by his _wife, the former Joyce Hawkesworth, and Son 'William M. Stuart of Toronto. Also surviving are a sister Freda Crosby. and grandehildren. Valerie and Tracey.
