seems only to have been given to the drinking public, because the report

given the Option to open an hour,earlier apd close an hour later 'than at
present. It recommends that BYOB be permitted in restaurants that may
or may not already be licensedand it recommends that such public
places as movie theatres beawarded the same privileges.
At the same time another provincial advisory group says it wants beer
oommamia|p on television which associate drinking with "beautiful
young people" who look healthy, fit and happy, taken off the air,because
they ignore the potentially neQative social iflTaIth aspects of alcohol
consumption.Aren'-tthose the same negative aspects the government is
• ignoring with its Port.a'ohort recommendation.

Reacting to public demand? It appears more obVious the government is
reacting to its own need to foster funds and is using the weakness, of the
Canmttiap public, for, alcohol, to do so. .
The government tells us these modifications in the liquor laws will
make our 'province an Ontario of the 80o.
But ith th8VomorKog by worlci by world chaos and unrest, increased violence
and massive teenage and adult massive teenage and adult suicides, perhaps an Ontario of the 80s Is
not the image we should strive to attain.
Maybe it's time the government tried to capitalize on the positive
attributes of Ontarianx, not play on their vices. —

find it very annoying being told - where I
should shop and doctor, especially by
someone who does not live in Seaforth. If J.
Montgomery is so concerned let him shop
here and pay the comparable prices. !have a
certain amount of money I must make go as
faras possible even if that means going out of
town. If the prices in Seaforth are the same as
elsewhere please explain why 1. a case of
Similac at Lyons in Seaforth eost $45.99 and
less than one mile away the same case cost

Drugstore in hIfeter that same ca.se of Similac
cost $43.99 and at Keating's it is $46.50. This

Contact lenses test invention

Not again? I'm afraid those darned
contact lenses are lost again. it's happened
many a time and for someone who's guide

the most important things I wear.
Over the years have stopped hockey

matches, all because of a tiny contact lens.
