Anyone At the.going down of the sun and in the .who played through the year please be morning we will remember them, LEGION NEWS by Gordon Scott 4-H Leaders Conference held Despite the stormy weather, about 125 4-H leaders from the surrounding counties attended the Regional 4-H Leaders: Confer- ence held recently in Atwood. • Bob Gernon, Human Resource Develop- ment Specialist, presented a seminar on leadership and goals achieved through the use of the 4-H pledge. The day also included a panel discussion explaining what each county's Club Leaders' Association . does: social recreation, an update on provincial 4-H statistics and a short seminar on "Raising The Image of -4-H," presented by Kathy, Biondi, ' Head of Communication and Continuing Education at Centralia College. Group discussions between 4-H leaders from different counties offered the leaders new ideas and techniques to try out on their own clubs. The conference revolved ardund the theme "The Keys of 4-H Leadership" and helped. the leaders develop human and technical skills and creative ways of thinking. Laundry is .topic The fourth meeting of McKillop 1 "Soul . Survivors' ` was held March 5 at the home of Tracy Bosman. After the roll call was answered members discussed doing the laundry, They talkerd 'about the care labels a}rd actually doing the laundry. They then repaired the clothes they had brought. The repairs ranged from missing buttons to large holes. The next meeting will be held March 12 at Sherry Rumford's home.
