Plans were made for St. Andrew's 120th
anniVersary service to be held on Sunday,
October 18. Reports given showed that St.
Andrew's had an active and successful year.

FAIR HOARD MEETs1 .
The ladies' division of the Hensall Fair
Board met at the , home of the president
Frances Kinsman on Tuesday, February 17.
There were nine members present. Secretary
Marlene Bell read minutes of the last
meeting. A motion to hold a yard and bake
sale to raise money was passed and the sale is
• to be helckin Saturday, May 23 on the front
lawn and verandah of Mary Kinsman's home
at 82 KhiQalensall. - All committee
members ar . to donate at least three
different articles of baking, plus some junk.
Any other donations from interested people
gratefully accepted.
The fair is to be held June 12 and 13. An
incoming president for the ladies division for
the fall is urgently needed. Anyone interest-
ed in holding this worthwhile office please
contact iresident Frances Kinsman or
secretary Marlene Bell.

In place of a February meeting, Kippen

The Tykes played two games on the
weekend and came out on top in both.
On ,Saturday they beat Huron Park 10-4
with Hensall goals. by Mark Bell (4 ), Brock
Weiss (2), Jeff Campbell, Ryaii Munn and
Chris Jones.
On Sunday they travelled to Blyth and
won a prize for beini-the handyman in the
crowd..

World Day , of Prayer, is to be held on
Friday; March 6 at 2;30 p,m. at S. Andrew's,
Church,,Kippen in the Sunday, School robins,
Lunch and social hour to follow. Everyone

Queensway,Nursing Home residents have
been' very busy with several, interesting
• activities this week.
The week began with a great game of Bingo
Monday; with the help of the Kippen United
Church ladies which made the afternoon
extra special. -
Tuesday morning it was time for exercising
once again. Then in the afternoon there was
the weekly church service with Rev. Bob
Sinasac. Rev. Sinasac was accompanied on
the piano by Phillipa Steckle.
In the evening residents had the pleasure
• of once again welcoming the Christian
• Reformed Singers who sang beautifully
several favorite hymns. It was a very relaxing
and enjoyable evening.
• Congratulations to Crystal Jones of Hen -
sail Public School who placed first in the
senior division Public Speaking Contest at the
Legion. In the junior division Victoria Bisback
placed second and Mindy Bell placed third.
They all will receive personalized trophies
for their efforts. Well done, girls

• Wednesday afternoonbrought one of the
favorite activites; Fun and, Games. This
month however residents had the Zurich
Mennonite Church ladies come in to share the
fun. After the games they enjoyed listening to
• a few poems, then the singing of a few songs.
Thursday morning residents viewed the
'movie of the week' which was called "The
Mitt." It was about a little boy who realized
the love of his mother and the real joy of
giving.
Arts and Crafts was what was on the
agenda for Thursday afternoon. This session
was run by a group from Hensall Public
School. Together, the students and residents
got into the St. Patrick's Day spirit by
