Manor as: name
The ,Seaforth Health Care Facility will
resume the name "The Manor" residents
were told at a Residents Council meeting.
Saturday. The latae number in attendance
were informed the facility had been, pur-
chased by Ed and CarolynOsimek of•Hensell.

Margaret Smale and Jackie Racho .took,
Manor residents to Maplewood on Tuesday to
take part in some euchre games. Some came
. ba�cit with winnings.
On Wednesday, Reverend George Youma-
toff was ill, so church was cancelled.
Residents watched films instead.
On Thursday there was indoor gardening
in the morning and in the afternoon the ladies
cut foam while the men played euchre.
On Friday residents participated in exer-
cises for fun and fitness, then played bingo.

strong demand at higher prices on both steers
• .and heifers. Cows gained the week's decline
'and pigssold steady. There were 713 cattle
and 420 pigs on offer.

Last week at Maplewood Manor brought a
- vareity of activities and visitors.
On Monday Elva Pullman was welcomed
back after a brief stay in the Seaforth
Community Hospital. Mi are pleased she is
recovering nicely.
On Tuesday the Seaforth Health Care
Facility joined residents for euchre. Jacquie
• nacho assisted the eight residents to the
facility, Marj. Rock and Bill Papple came to
play euchre and Mary Chapple and Betty
' Hulley were the volunteer helPers. Jacqui
provided the prizes for euchre, The winners
were Lillian Pepper, high lady;.Marj. Bock,
low lady, lone hand, Pat Ryan, Bill Papple,
high man and Effie Sykes, low man.
Maplewood supplied the door prize and Pete
Tremeer won it, keeping the lucky winning
streak in the family. .
, Wednesday evening was Bingo night and
Nancy Denhaut brought volunteers and
seniors in to the facility Last week 'Paul
Hoggarth was the Junior Farmer who
assisted folks in for Bingo. Elva Pullman, and
:May Habkirk tied for the best Bingo card and
May won the prize by picking a winning
number. Marj. Maloney and Anne Downey
Were the volunteers,
That same evening members of the
Seaforthchapterof. Beta Sigma Phi Kappa
Mu toured Maplewood. The members stayed
and served lunch to the Bingo group. The
chocolate cheesecake they provided was
delicious. The chapter then held its monthly
meeting in the dining room at Maplewood-
Thtirsdayafternoon Father Caruana came.
to visit with the residents. His visit was
greatly appreciated.
On Friday morning residents welcomed
Agnes Hunter to Maplewood. Her grand-
daughter Karen of Toronto had helped her
the weekend before to make preparations for
the move.
Friday afternoon Franced.Btietr was in
charge of the movies. There were b:3o'
c niiedies - one a Laurel and Hardy and the
other' a W.C. Fields.
This week Dr. Malkus and Dr. Underwood
dropped in to visit with.some of the residents
Who are their patients. Evefyone-appreeiated
and enjoyed their visits.
