'Funeral -ger:nees were held at the St.

Clinton.
The TT-year-old•Clintonian died at Clinton
Public Hospital on January 22.
Mr.Trott was born in Seaforth.on October
8, 1909. He was the son of the late William
Trott and. Emma Wright.
Mr. Trott attended 'Seaforth public and
high schools,•and then attended the Stratford
Normal School to become a teacher. Upon
graduation, he returned to Seaforth where he
taught at SS No. 3 in Stanley Township, and
• then at Egmondville Public School. '
On July 9. 1941 he was married to- the
. . former Muriel Looby in London, Ontario.
In 1950 the Trotta moved from'Sedforth. to
Clinton as Mr. Trott became the first
principal at the 'Air Vice Marshall Hugh
Cgippbell Public School at the RCAF Station
at Clinton. He held that position uhtil 1968
when -he -retired. ' -
Along with his wife, Mr. Trott is survived
by one daughter. Ann and her husband David
Nesbitt, and by two grandchildren, Kather-
ine and•Peter-•Nesbitt.
He was predeceased by one sister arid one
• brother. -
Mr. Trott's brother-in-law. Rev. A.R.
Looby CSB officiated at the January, 24
funeral service. He was assisted by Rev, John
Pluta of Sf. Joseph's Church. .
Pallbearers were Mr. Trott's six nephews,
Thomas Goettler, Stephen Goetter, . Louis
Looby, John Looby. Joseph booby and .Nick
lonata.
Interment took place at .the St. Patrick's
Cemetery in Dublin and the Bali and Falconer
Funeral Home in Clinton was in charge of the
funeral arrangements,
OBITUARIES
Presbyterian Church; Seaforth, Mr. Thomp-
son had operated a shoe store and•shoe repair
• business in Seaforthfor close to 40 years.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, the.
former Esther Trout; two nephews, Bruce
Hoelscher, of Seaforth and Ken Thompson,
of. Illinois; and pne niece, taurine Herbst, of
Nepean.
He was predeceased by two brothers,
Hugh and Cecil and one sister''Florence
,Hoelscher.
'Visitors wc•- • received at the Whitney-
Ribey Funeral - Home in Seaforth until
Monday when a funeral service was held.
Pallbearers; were Don Jolly, Earl ,Oesh,
Harry Hoffman, Jim Keyes, Elgin , Nott and
Walter McClure. '
Spring burial will be at •Harpurhey
Ceinetery, Seaforth.
An IOOFmemorial service was held at the
funeral .home -on Sunday.

Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Gowan of. Guelph,
died' Thursday, January 22, 1987 , at St.
Josephs. Hospital, Guelph. She .was 78.
The former Betty .George. she is survived
by sons, William and wife Doris 'of Guelph,-.
Paul and, wife Shirley of Guelph, Lawrence
and wife Bonnie•of Seeforth and Johnand
wife Patricia of Fort Nelson. British Colum-
. -
Also surviving -ale 14 grandchildren and six
' great grandchildren.
Mrs. Gowanwas predeceased by- her
husband John Lloyd Gowan and three
brothers, Archie, Jack and Tim George.
A ' funeral service was held at the
Wall Custance Funeral Home, 206 -Norfolk •
Street, Guelph on Saturday, January 24.
Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.

Alvin - W .T. Pryce •of Kitchener, died •
Sunday, •January 25, 1987. at Victoria
Hospital, London. He was .60 -years -old.
Mr.. Pryce is survived by. his wife, the
former Eva Beuermann; son Roger and his
wife Gail of Kitchener; and daughters, Kathy
and husband Bob Hunke,, of Kitchener,
Susan Pryce of Kitchener, and Peggyand her
husband Kerry Hayward of Waterloo.
Also surviving are sisters, Beatrice Pryce,'
of London, Jean (Mrs, Aaron Doerr) of
Cambridge and Helen MIS. Bob Parsons), of
Exeter; and five grandchildren.
' Mr. Pryce was predeceased by one son in -
infancy and one brother Leslie. +�
Visitation was held in the Edward R. Codd
Funeral Home. Waterloo on Tuesday and will
take place at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral
Home, Seaforth Wednesday from noon until
the funeral service Which will be held at 2
p,m. Interment Maitlandbank Cemetery;
Seaforth. Memorial donations"may be made
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation as
expressions of sympathy.

Friday. January 24, 1987 " at Seaforth
Community Hospital. He was 79. '
A son of the late Malcolm Thompson and
