greatly increased attendance and a doubling
of gate receipts for the 1986 fair. , •

Representatives of the Hensall Kinsmen
and Kinettes attended the fair board's annual
• meeting to ask if they could share in this
year's weekend activities. As the service club.
ho longer. supports the Fiddlers' Contest,
Kinsmen president Dave Hewittson asked if
the Kinsmen could operate a bar during the
Saturday barbecue and organize a' dance

The "Energetic Eight" gathered together
for the first time this winter on Tuesday,
January 20 to help celebrate Bev and Doris
Hamilton's 21st wedding anniversary. Bob
and Frances Kinsman were host and hostess.
A game of euchre was enjoyed by all.
Winners were ladies high, Phyllis Parsons,
ladies low, was shared by Doris Hamilton and
Margaret Hoggarth: The men's high. was •

On Monday, January 19 even though there
was a super snowstorm. Queensway Nursing •
Home residents had the tremendously brave
: ladies from the Bethel Reformed Church
who. despite the weather, came in and
delivered a very entertaining afternoon of
bingo and sing -songs.

preached the first of a series based on the
letters found in Revelation written to seven of
the early churches. The Kippen congregation
is reminded of the Annual Meeting to be held
on Sunday, February 22. • .

• Marlene Bell put up a quilt in her home on
Monday, January 19. The following ladies
helped with the quilting, Gert Moir, Florence

Wednesday morning it was again time for.
the aerobic work-out no. 2 for this week.
Wednesday afternoon, with the help of the
auxiliary, was designated for an arts and
crafts session. This month's specialty was
'food collages." Everyone did a super job on
their respective collage.
Thursday morning we got together for the
moirithly baking club. This months' recipe
was white cake with frosting. It turned out
well, thanks to all the helpful hints and tips
from the residents.
