Drawing club

The "new” Drawing Club had its first
meeting Monday at the Queensway Nursing
Home.. This month's theme was "Winter
Fantasy." With this theme residents all drew
what winter meant to thein. In the evening
they had the pleasure of having the Zurich
Mennonite ladies come in to run the weekly
game of Bingo. . ' • .
The church service Tuesday afternoon was .
led by Paster Stephen Alles. Residents
listened to a beautiful service, as well as
singing some favorite hymns.
Then on Tuesday evening the ,Christian
Reformed Singers visited to sing some more
favorite songs. It was a very enjoyable
evening to say the least..
Wednesday morning once again- brought
residents to their exercise regime, then in the
afternoon 'it was time for the monthly
auxiliary meeting. Several different ideas
and plans, both for .the present and the
future, were discussed. Anyone who would
like to become part of the auxiliary is invited
to the next meeting which will take place on
Wednesday; February 11. Please come and
see what it is all about.

The United Church Women held . their
monthly meeting Tuesday, January 13.
Marlene Charters led the worship service
with a New Years message "To Think of
Others and To Do Good." The hostesses were
Helen Faber and Ruby LeFaive. Myra Lovell
presented the topic on native people. The
social committee brought in their budget for
the year. World l3ayof Prayer was discussed.
This will take place Friday, 'March 6. Plans
were made to help with the bingo at
Queensway in Hensall for the month of
February.
CHURCH NEWS
Barbara Cooper accompanied the hymns
on the organ at St. Andrews on Sunday. Rev.
Lorne Keays preached an excellent sermon
entitled "Christ in an Opportunity."
