The Seaforth Public Utilities Commission • (PUC) has received word it will.be supplied- '• with. a new transformer. • PUC.Manager. Tom Philips told, members • • of the commission last week documentation had beeni,reeeived from Carte Electric' Ltd., Winnipeg, ,the company that -supplied' the •current transformer, the town would . be supplied with a new transformer in accord- . once' with original specifications.. ' The original electric transformer;: installed the transformer and tip to 73 decibels further back. " ` • • • The FCC' had been presented with four possible solutions to the.noise problem, The first two solutions called for the unit to be returned to Winnipeg, either for redesign or - modifications to correct the •problein. Rede- -. sign would have brought the noise level to: the specified 59 decibels, while the modifications wouldhave reduced it to 61 decibels at best. Aprt122 at.
