had been confirmed by the -Board, but a

her rernsing to accept the situation:

tion of Union School No. 3, Howiek
and Turnbury, was held cm the 23rd

pleasant weather, the attendance was

pupils performed their parewles entirely
satisfactory, they seeming to 'lee well ac-
quainted with the different studies of
the school, . At the clop, several of the
visitore and trustees -were ealled open
'to address the assembly, which thee; did,
remarking on the improvement made in
the. general 'deportment of the school -
since Mr. 4. 0. Linitlater became the
teacher, each speaker alluding to the
writing of the pupils; whieh seems to
