Mr. Wilmer Smith, a well known

subjeot to heart attacks but had been

ness, neuralgia of the heart, being the
cause.

The funerel of the • late Within
Smith took place from his late re- '
eidence on Saturday afternoon to St.
eleorge's church, where he seuvice
was conducted by, Rev. Mr. Forde of
Montreal. Th3 choir were in their
places and rendered several numbers
during the sceenan service, Prof.
Adams presiding at the organ.' The
pallbearees were two brothers of de-
eeesed : Frank and Arthue Smith, td-
bert Kneeshaiw, a brother-in-law, and
three nephews : Thos. 'and Ale. Knee-
shaw and Chas. Smith. Thos e from'
a distance who attended the funeral
were : Mr. Reginald Smith of Toron-
to, decreased's only son, Mrs. Mae.
Coopee and Mr. and 'Mrs. Ernest
Cooper of Toron.to, Mi. arel Mrs.
Geo. Woodward of Cannington, and
Mrs. Atkin of Niagara Falls.
The late Mr. Smith was a native
of Poet Huron, Mich., but came io
Goderich with his parents in early
youth. He was engaged for some
time in the tannery, now owned and
oporated by. his brothers, and later
opened out an art stoics on East
steeet, which he was conductliur at
the time of leo sudden death. He
leaves his wife and two children,
Reginald of .Toronto, and Miss Essie
,at home. Mr. Smith was a devos-
ed husband and father and a good
citizen. He will be much missed bv
a large circle of friends.
