About noon Sunday, June 19th, the spirit of Jacob Keller, au old and well known resident of Ethel locality, took its flight from the clay tenement. His demise was not unexpected as he had been in failing health for the past two years from au inward tumor and old age. Deceased was born iu the Co. of York, where his father had settled, on coming from Pennyslvania, U. S., nearly 100 years ago. In his earlier years the sub- ject of this notice was a carpenter and had a saw mill and was a very handy niau. In 1868 he moved to Grey town- ship (accompanied by his wife whose maiden name was Margaret Oster, and to whom he was married about 60 years ago) and bought the 100 acre farm, lot 16; Con, 7, from a man named Witham Bailey, 'and npon which he continuously resided until his demise, transforming it from a bash lot into a tine farm. Kidd of Kidd Bros., the well known horsembn of Listowel, died at his home at 9 o'clock Thursday even- ing, June 23rd.
