Arkw=dwMbm amdDart are gone you enter tttWr bedtoorn -especially forbidden territory during the holiday season- and reconnoiter. I remember the one Christmas where my ate` and I did this. I basically knew my parents were getting the G.I. Joe airplane I had asked for, but I had to see it with my own eyes; and all the otbergifts at tile top of the closet as well. My big mistake was in pridefully telling Mom we had diseavered kerluding spot: She wasn't too impressed by our clovernem That DeeemberM turned out to be a pretty dull as'Cflristmases go- That search must have been my -nder s idisa- I had a couple friends who were brothers, who used to select and buy their own Christmas presents, exchange them to let the other guy wrap them, and hill each other later. Absolutely no mystery there. Generally I had some idea what I would be getting for Christmas. But this year, as mentioned, I have no basis for clues. When people asked what I wanted I left things wide open, and asked for gifts such as floor mats for my car, glasses for mq cupboards (or a dishwasher who's not ail thumbs), socks, underwear, and a variety of other items which aren't at the top of most shopping lists. So it won't take much to surprise me this Christmas, and that's the way I like it.
