The Marian Ratbite Women's Missionary
Society held their annual meeting following
the regular meeting last Tuesday night.
With the president, Hazel Harburn in
charge, annual reports were given by Edna
Stoneman, Roberta Templeman, Doris
Miller, Peggy Kerslake, Jean Carey and
Lillian Douglas. A new slate of officers was
presented by Joy Scott.

Jean Carey presided for the November
meeting, opening with a reading. The devo-
tions were given by Roberta Templeman
based on the roll call, Freedom, with John 8;
31-37 as scripture. Thirteen members
answered the roll call.
Hazel Harburn looked after .the business
when it was decided notto proceed withhav-
ing another reprint of our Marian Ritchie
cookbook made, but to have a bazaar in con-
junction with the Ladies Aid next fall. The
nest meeting will be held on Dec. 6 with the
Ladies Aid in charge of the worship service
and the Marian Ritchie looking after the
lunch. There will be a $1 gift exchange.
Ruth Laing gave the topic on bow we tine
the freedoms that young men foughtfor, and
also a report of the last meeting of Stratford,
Huron W.M.S. executive. Hazel Harburn
read a poem. A Soldier's Prayer, and the
meeting closed with a hymn.

chener were with Ben's parents, Ann and
Hugh Benninger, on the weekend.

MacRae on Sunday to celebrate Don's birth-
day were his sister Rita Gooding, London,
his daughter and son-in-law Nora Ann and
Ian Jackson and baby son Trevor; James D.
and Marg, Jenny and Ian MacRae, all from
London; and Michael and Patricia, Kurt,
Marce, Denise and Joey of the village.
Marg MacRae made a birthday cake, and
the gifts from all present made the occasion
an enjoyable family get-together.
Another sister, Ann and Allan Hatton
from Sarnia, were unable to be with us due
to a family committment.
