RAIDERS 2 - PARR LINE 1
Paul Middleton scored with a little help
from opposing teamates. He was assisted by
Rod Merrier and Roy Fisher. Hats off to the
Raiders as they come through with a great
victory. Tony Arts is credited with both
goals needing help only once by Steve
Jansen and Jeff Campbell. Good game guys.
KNIGHTS 4 - WINTHROP 0
Jow Vink got a break when he retrieved a
rebound and scored, helped by Jim and Paul
Nyenhtiis. A tipped hr goal is worthwhile
claiming by Mark Louwagie, helped by
Steve Hulshof. Larry Battens shot bounced
off the back post, side post, and top rail
before dropping down into the net. A great
pass by Lawrence Vink. Murray Bell shot
the ball over the top of the Winthrop goalie's
head and into the net. Jim Nyenhuis and Joe
Vink were his helpers. Winthrop men were
off just a bit as their shots kept going wide of
the net.
RATS 0 - GRADS 2
Tony VanDenhevel scored the Grad's first
goal, assisted by Mike VanDenhevel and
Henry Wydeven. Craid Kerslake scored the
second goal unassisted. The Rats blew their
chances time after time, but never gave up
Wig.
EASY RIDERS 5 - ROYALS 0
Steve Haggitt started the Riders on the
score board. He was assisted by Wayne
Gingerich. Marten Wynja scored twice,
helped only once by Terry Morey and Rick
Harris. Brian Sowerby also claimed a point
thanks to Steve Steinman and Ed Van-
Miltenburg. Dave Hulley scored the fifth
goal assisted by Rob McGregor and Terry
Morey.
RED RUSTLERS 0 - DUMPERS 7
Playing only two seconds into the game
Brett Finlayson scored for the Dumpers.
Great passing Dale Kennedy and Dennis
Murray. Dale Kennedy chalked up four
points for the evening off great set ups by
Jim Nash and John Cairns. Bob Nash also
scored from John Cairns and Brett
Finlayson. Dennis Murray tipped the ball in-
to the net twice, assisted by Dale Kennedy,

QUEENS 0 - PARR LINE 0
This was a game that everyone likes to
watch every now and then. It was a well
matched set of teams playing against each
other to hold it at a zip -zip game.
JR. FARMERS 2 - COMMERCIAL 2
A newcomer to broomball seemed in-
trigued with the game. Commerical's Linda,
Boyd scored assisted by Catena McClure
and Reni Drost. A shot by defenceman Ann
Marie Maloney also went in the net for the
Commercials. Thanks goes out to Audrey
Schenk and Tammy Nash for helping out.
For the Junior Farmers it was Kim
McDougal and Crystal Whyte scoring. Judy
Middigaal helped with Crystal's goal.
PERTH 0- WINTHROP 1
Deb Murray maneuvered to centre ice
and scored for Winthrop. Donna Arts
assisted. The Perth goalie played excep-
tionally well.
Tonight at 8 pm Commerical vs Winthrop,
8:50 pm Parr Line vs Perth and 9:40 pm
Queens vs Jr. Farmers.

The Cardinals kept a tight hold on first
place in the St. James Bowling League,
when they dumped the Hawks 7-0 in league
action at Starlight Lanes on October 31.
Sandy Broadfoot led the Cardinals with
205, 202, 273 -680; Albert Hoven 216, 202 - 592
and Cathy Broome 200 - 572. Dan Bennewies
was high for -the Hawks with 261 - 603;
Joanne Aubin 204 - 591 and Pat Ryan 197 -
536.
The Falcons kept pace in second place,
with a 7-0 victory over the Orioles.
Murray Bennewies had another fine night
with games of 273, 290, 263 - 826 for the
Falcons. Rick Fortune 211 - 543 and Carol
Johnston 191 - 534 also helped the winners.
Top bowlers for the Orioles were Harry Den
Haan 210, 224, 235 - 669; Gerry Armstrong
270 - 661 and Reg Chappel 219 - 590.
In the closest contest of the night the third
place Eagles edged the Blue Jays 4 - 3.
George Love was high for the Eagles with
259, 233, 212 - 704; Marilyn Den Haan 241, 209
- 595, and Ken Hunt 212, 215 - 561. Pat Nolan
led the Blue Jays with 233, 237 - 641; Connie
Marion 205, 207 - 600; Bert Kloss 214 - 570;
Jim Dalrymple 195 - 550; Karen Hoegy 240 -
544; and Joyce Marcuccio 205 - 467.
Team standings after eight weeks are
Cardinals - 37; Falcons - 33; Eagles - 30;
Blue Jays - 29; Orioles - 21; Hawks - 18.
The first night of the Walkers Special Old
High -Low Doubles was counted from league
play on Monday. This Tournament com-
bines the highest average bowler with the
lowest bowler until everyone is paired up.
The house round of the Tournament lasts
for six weeks and the winner will be the duo
that exceeds their combined average each
week and finishes with the highest number
of pins over average.
After the first week the leaders are Pat
Nolan and Pat Ryan plus 142; Joanne Aubin
and Reg Chappel plus 128; Murray Ben-
newies and Roxy Hunt plus 117; Cathy
Broome and Ken Hunt plus 95; Connie
Marion and Karen Hoegy plus 91; George
Love and Joyce Marcuccio plus 88; Sandy
Broadfoot and Bonnie Fortune plus 78; Jack
Ryan and Bert Klass plus 75; Dan Ben-
newies and Rick Fortune plus 69; and Gerry
