hrs with the Ladies Auxiliary feeding ap-
proximately 350 Legion members and
wives. The guest speaker was Lloyd Holl-
ingshead, third Vice President of Provincial
Command. Conrade Hollingshead again
stressed the need for Associate members to
gradually assume the roles of Leadership in
the Branches. The average age of the
Veteran is now sixty-seven years of age so
you can readily understand what will hap-
pen ten years down the road.
As the District Commander Glenn Bridge
will not be running for Office in the Provin-
cial Convention next Spring at Niagara
Falls the Promotional 50/50 draw was given
to aid the Brussels Branch in rebuilding
their Branch after the disastrous fire last
July. After the meeting was closed a social

Anglican Church on Sunday, November 6 at
9 am. Parade will leave the Branch at 8:30
am. Remembrance Day is Friday,
November 11 when a service will be held at
the Cenetaph weather permitting.
The Branch was sorry to hear of the pass-
ing of Comrade Roy Allen recently. A
remembrance service was held at the Ribey
Funeral Home. To his wife and family we of-
fer our sincere sympathies in their loss of a
husband and father.
They grow not old as we that are left grow
old. Age shall not weary them nor the years
condemn. At the going down of the sun and
in the morning we will remember them.
