QUEE
NEWS WAY
Queensway residents hope everyone had a
good Thanksgiving. Thank you to Rev.
Hawley of Exeter United Church for a
beautiful worship service Tuesday
afternoon.
Wednesday evening the "Goderich No
Notes Jug Band" filled the home with the
strains of their own unique brand of music.
All had a wonderful time although there
may have been a few sore feet by the end of
the evening. There are some energetic
dancers at Queensway.
"Poor Little Rich Girl" was the featured
movie Thursday evening. Everyone en-
joyed the Shirley Temple films. In the com-
ing months Queensway will focus on one
particular entertainer and feature films
from their career.
Friday afternoon the activity room was
the scene of some reminiscing as
Agriculture Club churned butter and Baking
Club baked raisin scones. There were a few
tense moments when all wondered if the
cream was ever going to turn to butter but
it did beautifully. There were many who
remembered drinking the fresh buttermilk
years ago. So several sampled that. All
savored the taste of delicious fresh butter on
the hot scones. It was an afternoon of fun
and memories. Thank you to Ken and Della
Gascho for graciously loaning, their butter
churn.
Queensway coming events are; October
27 at 2:30 pm, Laurene Madge and friends
entertain at the monthly birthday party and
October 28 at 2:30 pm, International Day
featuring Greece.

MAKING BUTTER - Harold Wurm, right, a visitor to the Queensway Nursing Home in
Hensall on Friday, lends a steadying hand while resident Bill Ereland churns some but-
ter. The butter was a project of Queensway's Agricultural Club and Was used to top
some fresh raisin scones, made by the Baking Club. Some residents even tested the
