Broomballers back in action MEN'S BROOMBALL PARR LINE 7 - ROYALS 0 Parr Line's Verne Thompson was on a roll, against the Royals, gobbling up five points. A helping hand came from Tim Bylsma and Roy Fisher. Graig Piett took an exuberent corner shot and scored off great passing by Ed Salverda. Paul Gibbings snuck in with a back hand swing and powered one past the opposing goali4 too. Rod Merrier and Adrian Salverda gave a helping hand as well in scoring. Let's give those Royals credit with only six attackers their self esteem was limited. RATS 0-CHISELHURST3 Al Wynja was keen and with a turbulent corner shot scored off great passing by Gary Dill. However, brother Martin Wynja prov- ed he can do it too and scored, thanks to Raymound Hinz for his outstanding pass. The Rats had overpowered the first half of the game but no credits were achieved. What an eager new team of recruits. RAIDERS 1- RUSTLERS 1 Art Veenstra is the good guy and scored the only goal with a power shot boomed into the net. Dennis Vere and Les Falconer helped out. On a smashing breakaway Steve VanDyk tied the game up, off a long pass from Steve Jansen. DUMPERS 3 - GRADS 0 Dennis Murray must have borrowed a new broom and with two sure shots claimed two points, helped by Dale Kennedy for the set up. Old coach Frank Verbevre drilled the ball from the blue line and scored. Brett Finlayson proved he too could match Frank with a sure shot for a goal with a little help from Bill Dale. The Grads energy was runn- ing down hill with only 7 players total. WINTHROP 1 -KNIGHTS 1 Larry Baer still has the know how from last season on how to score with a sure shot off a great pass from Jody Durand. No keep- ing John VanVleit back as he stormed through and blasted the ball for a sure shot goal with a little help from Dan McNichol. SENIOR HOUSELEAGUE' NORTH STARS Coach: Gregor Campbell. Some people are saying that oil heat is old-fashioned... Maybe Oil dealers do give you good old-fashioned "I'll be right over" service They're not like the huge gas or electric utilities I feel like my oil dealer knows me And oil heat equipment is more efficient, more economical, clean, safe If that makes oil heat old-fashioned, then I guess I'm just an old-fashioned kindo guy Call your local fuel oil supplier.
