Cows traded steady and pigs were sharply higher. There were 985 cattle, 319 pigs, and 87 sheep and goats on offer. Choice Steers - $83, to 86. with sales to 89. Good Steers - 79. to 83. A spotted steer consigned by Murray Shiell of RR 3, Wingham, weighing 1130 lb. sold for 89. with his total offering of 40 steers averag- ing 1163 lb., selling for an overall price of Five steers - consigned by Maple Emblem Farms of RR 1, Dungannon, averaging 1190 lb., sold for 86.60, with their total lot of forty- two steers averaging 1215 lb., selling for an average price of 84.76.
