Mr. & Mrs. Bill Siemon of R.R. 4 Walton and
Mr. Paul Roth of Etobicoke are pleased to an-
nounce the forthcoming marriage of their
daughter Janet Lorraine to Brian Keys, son of ,`
Mr. & Mrs. Doug Keys of Hamilton. The wed- '
ding will take place on Saturday, October 1,
1988 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran
Church, Brodhagen. Open reception to follow,
Seaforth and District Community Centres.
Seaforth Manor ladies prepare fruit salad.
It has been another busy week at Seaforth
Manor. The week started off on Monday
morning with Fun and Fitness. The
highlight of the day was a sings -long in the
afternoon with volunteer, Carol Carter.
Everyone looks forward to her monthly
visits as it gives them a chance to sing some
of their old time favourites.
On Tuesday afternoon residents enjoyed
viewing an adventurous movie, "Cold
River'.
On Wednesday morning several ladies got
together to prepare fresh fruit salad which
was enjoyed at noon as residents welcomed
the ministers who lead the weekly worship
services. The luncheon is on) way to show
our appreciation to these dedicated people,
acquaint new ministers to the Home and as
well give them a chance to discuss any con-
cerns of the Manor's Pastoral Care Pro-
gram. Residents were also pleased to have
Rev. Barber of the Presbyterian Church
lead the weekly church service and have
Mrs, Brown for volunteer pianist.
On Thursday afternoon residents welcom-
ed several volunteer ladies again to play
euchre with them. They always seem to
draw a big crowd. Winners of the high
scores were Marg Smale and Ed Dunn, Con-
solation prizes went to Irene Omard and Pat
Ryan, and lone hands was won by. Marnie
Ross.
On Triday afternoon Bingo was well at-
tended by the residents. Thank you to
volunteer Mary Chapple for calling
numbers. Prizes were won by Denis Arney,
Edith Salo, Eva Netsky, Bill Connolly, Bert
Deichert, Marine Ross, Wilma Brill, Irene
Omand; Margaret Smale and Jenny
Hildebrand.

some of the activity programs at Seaforth
Manor, they would be very happy to hear

Margaret Van Dyk of 73 Main St. N.,
Seaforth is pleased to announce the forthcom-

Flanagan, son of Lorne and Agnes Flanagan

Lawrence also Mrs. Mary Maylan of St.
Columban.
Mary Nolan visited husband Jim last
Monday and also attended the sing -a -long.
Bill Scott was visited by brother Ross of
Maplewood Manor and sister of London.
Maria Gooverts was out with daughter
Elga Ruston on Saturday.
Visiting with Inez Spittal were Peter and
Jane Spittal, also Paul, Cara and Robert
Spittal
Pat and Rose Altman visited their parents
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Netzki.
Barb Laidlaw visited with Marjorie Ryan. -
Visiting with Mabel Handy on Sunday
were Jack and Gladys Van Egmond of
Clinton. -
Patrick Ryan attended the Seaforth
Senior Games pot luck supper at the arena
last Monday evening.
Margaret Smale and Mamie Ross accom-
panied by Yenny Dimaline, attended the
Seaforth Fall Fair Thursday evening.
Len Bloomfield won a prize at the penny
sale at the Seaforth Fall Fair.
We are sorry to report James Nolan is
presently confined to Seaforth Community
Hospital.
Maplewood residents enjoy parade
Residents of Maplewood Manor were kept great enjoyment from their visit.

Lioness club gearing up for fall
The first .fall meeting' of the Seaforth
Lioness Club was held on September 20 at
the Masonic Lodge with a J3otluck supper.
President Georgina Reynolds, welcomed
everyone to the new year.
Guest for the evening was Katrina
Lindemann, who was the Lioness represen-
tative for the fall fair queen. She read her
speech for the benefit of those who were not
able to be there for the judging. All very pro-
ud of her.
It was decided the Lioness Club run a food
booth, with hamburgers and hotdogs for the
wheelbarrow days, and possibly participate
in the Toy Show to be held on December 4. A
