Thank you to all who participated in the
8th Annual TERRY FOX RUN, which was
held on Sunday, September 18. Seaforth
had 60 participants and raised $2,265.92.
On Friday the Seaforth Public School and
St. James Separate School participated as
well, with approximately 365 runners. The
two schools combined to raise about $500,
making Seaforth's total $2,767.92. Con-
gratulations Seaforth for a job well done.
FITNESS FOR SENIORS will be offered
Tuesday and Thursday mornings from
9:45 to 10:15 a.m. starting on September
20. The registration fee will be $15 for twice
a week for eight weeks, or $8 for once a
week for eight weeks. There must be at
least eight men or women interested to
make this class a go. If you would like to
participate please call Drusilla Leitch at
527-1182, or the Recreation Office at
527-0882.
The SENIOR ALLEY BOWLING will
begin on Friday, September 30 at 1:30 p.m.
Anybody interested in this must pre -
register by calling 527-1319, 527-1996 or
523-9575.

The Seaforth Library presents: A Con-
cert for Adults and Seniors with TED
ROBERTS. Ted Roberts, a member of
Canada's longest established folk group,
The Travellers, will enterain at a concert
on Friday, September 23, starting at 2:30
p.m. at the Library. Ted presents a pro-
gram that draws from his large repertoire
of original songs, stories and poems, as
well as traditional songs from across
Canada and around the world. This pro-
gram is brought to you by the Outreach
Ontario programs of the Ministry of
Culture and communications and the On-
tario Arts Council. Admission for the con-
cert will be $1 per person.

Nominations for the ANNUAL CITIZEN-
SHIP AWARDS are now being accepted.
You may nominate anyone for: Service to
Sports, Civic Service or Humanitarian Ser-
vice. These awards are awarded based on
the individual's contribution to the com-
munity in a VOLUNTEER capacity.
Anyone may nominate an individual for
any of the above categories, by submitting
their name, what category they should be
considered in, and some background infor-
mation about the nominee, to the'Seaforth
Recreation Department at . Box 885,
Seaforth. Deadline for nominations will be
October 14, 1988. If you need any informa-
tion on the awards please call the recrea-
tion office at 527-0882. The awards will be
presented at the BIA's Annual Christmas

There will be a POWER SKATING
SCHOOL this fall. Registration will be held
on Tuesday, September 27 from 7 to 8:30
p.m. at the Seaforth and District Com-
munity Centres. Schedules of when ,you
child will skate will be handed out on this
night. Registration will be $30. For more
