Members of the 4th Degree of the Knights
of Columbus were Honor Guard for the Liv-
ing Rosary in Midland on Sunday,
September 11.
Knights attending from Dublin were Sir
Knight Louis Kramers and Don MacRae ac-
companied by their wives Shirley and
Eileen. Also attending were Knights from
Clinton, Goderich, Wingham, Listowel,
Toronto, Bramalea, Barrie Mississauga.
()riffle and Newmarket. 'Third Degree
Knights also attended including Grand
Knight Neil Stapleton of Kingsbridge ac-
companied by his wife, Nancy.
Procession of the Blessed Sacrament was
to the New Papal Altar where the Living
Rosary was recited by the Students of Jean
Vanier High School and St. Mary's School,
Col ingwood. The Homily and Benediction
was by Bishop P. Lacey.
People
Bob and Joan Cronin also spent the
weekend in Midland.
Hugh and Ann Benninger of Dublin and
Suter Grace and Sister Marie Brebeuf of
London spent two most enjoyable days at
the Martyrs Shrine in Midland last week and
spent the night in a beautiful hotel in
Midland.
Ted and Nel Doyle also motored up to
Midland one day last week.
Friends and neighbours of Millie Evans
are very pleased to have her home again to
her apartment in Dublin after a four month
stay in Stratford Hospital. Millie has been
home for a month already and we all wish
her the best in the days to come.
Visitors with Millie since her return home
have been Joe and Rose Berm from Toronto;
Monie Holland, Stratford, Mary Evans and
Madeline Peiche from Windsor and Marie
and Jack Cleary from London on Sunday
and are frequent callers on their mother
Millie.
Family home with Joe and ilea Eckert
over the' weekend were Judy Elan, Angie,
Tammy and Jenny from Stratford, John
Eckert and Angie and Joe Jr. from Kit-
chener, and Barbara Eckert from
Mississauga.
INTENDED FOR LAST WEEK
The annual Flanagan reunion was held at
the Dublin Community Centre on August 27,
with the families of the late John and
William Flanagan attending. William was
married to the former Catherine Burns.
Attending from the Dublin district were
Lorne Flanagan and family, Bill Flanagan
and family, Helen Krauskopt and MargarPt
Looby and families.
Get well wishes are ext, ndc'd to Matt
Coyne who is a patient in the Stretford
Hospital.
Congratulations to Garry and Kathy Ryan
of Mill Street, Dublin on the birth of their
baby girl.
McKillop 4-H club to hold first 'meat' in
Cronin and Clarence and Cecilia Ryan of St.
St. Columban Correspondent Columban, Wayne and Christopher Cronin
MRS. CECILIA RYAN of Egmondville (Melita had the flu and we

were guests on Sunday with Gerry and
Karen Ryan and family on the occasion of
Amanda's fifth birthday.
Wayne and Anne Chapin, William and
Vanessa of Bradford spent the weekend at
their farm home.
Cemetery Sunday will be held on Sunday,
September 18 at 11 a.m. in the St. Columban
PEOPLE cemetery. In case of rain it will be held in
Laura and Les Ward of Kitchener, Frank the
McKillop No. 4, 4-H Club is going to have
its first meeting on September 28 at 7 p.m. at
the home of Cora de Vries. The fail club is
called "Much Ado About Meats".

Jeff, Tammy and Cindy, have returned to
Calgary, Alberta, following a three week
visit with family members in the Staffa and
Zurich areas.
The Hibbert United Church Women met in
the Family Life Centre for their September
meeting, with Mary F. Dow in charge of
devotions. She dealt with some of the con-
cerns of the United Church Women, in
church and society.
A skit "Use It or Loose It", adapted by
Fyram, was presented by eight Members,
highlighting the parable of the talents.
Piano selections by Margaret Kemop added
to the theme. The program featured a
travelogue by Gwen Christie about a trip to
Greece which she had enjoyed. Gwen il-
lustrated her talk with pictures and for
those present this was a chance to learn
about this fabled land.
Business convenor Margaret Miller, dealt
with plans for the upcoming regional in Oc-
tober,
and the Lambton Conference, as well
as a report from the kitchen committee. A
decision was reached regarding quilting.
