Dorothy Joan Ruth Sills and Neil William
Johnston were married Saturday,
September 10, 1988 at St. James Roman
Catholic Church by the Reverend J.C.
Caruana. The bride is a daughter of Frank
Sills of Seaforth and the late Dinah Sills and
the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Irwin
Johnston, also of Seaforth. Matron of honor
was Bonnie Johnston of Seaforth, friend of
the bride and bridesmaids were Carolyn
Frid of Waterloo, Lyne Bouchard of
Waterloo, and Ellen Gifford of Ottawa, all
friends of the bride. Best man was Jim
Parkinson Jr. of London, friend of the
groom, and guests were ushered by Mike
Scott of London and Warren Diemert of
Waterloo, both friends of the groom, and
Tom Johnston of Seaforth, cousin of the
groom. Ring bearer was Michael Townsend
of Arthur, nephew of the bride. Soloist was
Don Sills of Seaforth, nephew of the bride
and accompanist was Marg Beard of
Wingham, sister of the bride. Scripture
reader was Elizabeth O'Neill of London,
sister of the groom and altar boy was Ray
Townsend of Arthur, nephew of the bride. A
reception was held at the Stanley Township
Hall. Guests attended the wedding from
Baltimore and Youngstown, USA, as well as
Kitchener, Waterloo, Wingham, Toronto
and England. The couple will reside in

Shauna Armstrong and Greg Core were
married Saturday, July 16, 1988 at St. James
Roman Catholic Church by the Reverend
J.C. Caruana. The bride is the daughter of
Robert and Beverley Armstrong of Seaforth
and the groom is the son of Robert and la
Core of RR 4 Seaforth. Maid of honor was
Sabine Sohm of Oshawa and bridesmaids
were Karen (Dale) Hak, Teri Armstrong
and Debbie Core, all of Seaforth. Best man
was Rob Core, and guests were ushered by
Paul Hak, Brad Gowan and Rob Armstrong.
Following a reception at the Oakwood Inn in
Grand Bend, the couple took a honeymoon
trip to Bermuda. They now reside at 47 Jar-

Karen Dale and Paul Hak were married
Friday, August 26, 1988 at St. James Roman
Catholic Church, Seaforth by the Reverend
John Van den Hengel of Ottawa and the
Reverend J.C. Caruana of Seaforth. The
bride is the daughter of Vernon and Marilyn
Dale of Seaforth and the groom is the son of
Harry and Catherine Hak, also of Seaforth.
Matron of honor was Shauna Core of
Seaforth, and bridesmaids were Kim Elder
of London, Sherry Tunney of Seaforth and
Mary Verberne of Seaforth. Best man was
Ron Hak of Kitchener and guests were
ushered by Mike Halt of Toronto, Ken Hak of
Toronto and Bill Dale of Seaforth. Soloists
were Rose and Piet Loomans of Ajax, and
Joe Verberne of Kitchener. Following a
reception at the Seaforth and District Com-
munity Centres the couple took a wedding
trip to Minden. They will reside at Listowel.
