Gilson has had a lot of involvement with youth over the past five years and has been on the national, provincial, and diocesan Youth Units for the Anglican Church. He handles youth groups in his churches in both Seaforth and Clinton, and is involved in a lot of activities with them such as camping. He likes working with youth and says he wants to continue while he is still at an age where he can relate to young people and is still interested in them. "When I was growing up in the Anglican Church there wasn't anything offered for young people," he explains. "I think it's time the church took young people seriously." As for the project, Rev. Gilson says: "I expect it to go great guns." He has done four youth dances in Clinton which went well. He says if at first there are anywhere near 60 people at the club he'll be doing handsprings. At Christmas the organizers will look at their format and see whet they are doing wrong or right and make changes. Rev. Gilson is hoping the community will support this effort, and that Seaforth's teens will take advantage of it.
