day held.
Despite the wveather'on. July 23 the Clinforth
Dairy Calf Club meld its Clipping and
Showmanship Day at the Carter's. 'The
members -were divided' into four groups.
The members then washed the calves, but
got side tracked and had a water fight. When
we finally got the calves washed we took turns
leading them. While wAiting for them to dry
the leaders demonstrated some clipping
techniques.
After lunch we got to work on clipping
them. They didn't look bad all cleaned up.
When we finished clipping them we led them
again and our leaders Allan and Jim refresh-
ed our memories on proper showmanship
skills. We then had a snack and a few went
swimming. John\and Kevin entertained us
throughout the day with their comedy.
The next scheduled meeting will be held on
Thursday, August 4th at Pam Carter's.
