Ste Columban Squirts shut out Lucan

Dooren scored twice and J.D. Nolan, Gary
Van Bakel and Larry Kelly completed the

On Monday, July 25 the St. Columban
Atoms hosted Ilderton and won 5-2. Chris
Marion found the net twice for the Atoms
while Scott Wood, Greg Visser and Squirt
player. Larry Kelly added single scores.

The Mosq I team's game was called due to

The St. Columban Mosq H took to the field
in St. Columban for a game against Grand
Bend, and shut them out 8-0. Mike Smale
'scored 2 goals, one on a penalty shot. Scott
Wood also scored 2 goals while Pat Cook,
Greg Visser, Chris Marion and Jamie
Stapleton rounded out the scoring.
PEE WEE
After losing 4-0 to the Exeter I team in the
first game of the season, the St. Columban
Pee Wees avenged that loss by a score of 5-1.
Brian Melady led the way with 2 goals. Mike
Watt, Steve Hicknell and Steve Papple also
scored.
Queens triple Ken Smith 30-10
QUEENS 30 -KEN SMITH 10
In the first game, the Ken Smith triples
were hit by Nancy Gridzak and Dianne Ben-
net. A home run was made by Tracy
Bedard. For the Queens team doubles were
made by Patty Arm Gridzak, Deb Murray
and Janice Lep hardt. (She actually hit to
right field...I wonder how she managed
that!) Triples were hit by Dianne McGrath,
Patty Ann Gridzak and Deb Murray. Two
home runs were hit by Wilda Young and
Missy Caldwell.
KENT MURRAY 18-McNICHOL 13
Doubles for the Murray team included
Kathy Larone, Marilyn Denhaan, Joanne
Aubin, Deb Martin, Leanne McKay and
Bonnie Johnston. Triples were made by
Joanne Aubin and Deb Martin. Kathy
Larone and Marylin Denhaan each hit a
home run.
The Kent Murray team have traded in
their old yellow shirts for hot pink ones with
"Kids Kloze Killers" on the front...are they
hot!
For the McNichol team Carol Benneweis
and June Hoggart hit doubles and triples
were made by Donna Arts and Linda Van
Dyk. A home run was hit by Lynn Deveraux.

President Mary Finlayson informed
members and associates of the anniversary
tournament to be held Aug. 24 and asked for
donations of grocery items for their boxes.
Also anyone wishing to donate money or a
prize will be gratefully accepted. This is the
59th anniversary of the Seaforth Lawn Bowl-
ing Club and it takes all members par-
ticipating to make it a success. Good bowl-
ing to all.

The Caaforth and D rict Minor Hockey
Association will be hay an important
meeting on Wednesday, Aug t 10 starting
at 7:30 p.m. This meeting will deal with the
upcoming season. Please be there! !
Come out & watch the Seaforth Optimists
vs. CKNX-Wingham in a ball game at the
Optimist Park. The game will take place on
August 16 at 7:30 p.m. The admission is a
donation at the gate, with proceeds going to
Joey Philion. Joey is a severe burn victim
from Orillia who is in Shriner's burn unit,
Boston. Come out and help Joey.
