Painter • from page 1 Currently he is doing a picture of a wagon and team going over one of the old corduroy roads which were used in the townships in the 1900s. A corduroy road was made of logs laid crosswise along the roads. Mr. William- son says he can remember the first time he went across one of the corduroy roads in a Model T, and it wasn't a very smooth road. For his next project, Mr. Williamson plans to do a blacksmith shop, with a team of horses being shoed. He says he just thought it was time so- meone made a record of how people used to farm, which is part of the reason he does old time paintings. He has a number of other scenes in mind, and his ideas should keep him busy through the summer. Mr. Williamson says however that he wouldn't be able to stay at home painting if it wasn't for the home care girls in Seaforth, and would like to offer them his thanks. r BIR,THS MCLAUGHLIN - Cheryl and Gerry are pleased to announce the arrival of their son Michael William George, weighing 7 lbs, 3 ozs on July 3.
