LOIS ANNE BAUER, daughter of Harold
and Stella Bauer of RR 1 Bornholm, and
mother of Benjamin and Andrea Leyva,
recived her Bachelor of Laws degree from
Osgoode Hall Law School on June 17, 1988.
She was the recipient of the Smith„ Lyons,
Torrance, Stevenson and Mayer prize in
Corporate Finance and Securities Regula-
tion. Lois received her earlier education at
Mitchell District High School and Wilfred
Laurier University, where she obtained an
Honors Bachelor of Business Administra-
tion degree. She is commencing her articles
with a medical -legal litigation firm in
Toronto.

eter, graduated on June 18 from. Humber
College's program in Early Childhood
Education for Developmentally Handicap-
ped. Chris has accepted a positionas
counsellor for the Stratford and District
Association for the Mentally Retarded.
OBITUARIES
MARY ELIZABETH COLEMAN
Mary Elizabeth Coleman of Seaforth, died
Saturday, June 25,1988 at the Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital. She was 77.
Born in Hibbert Township near Cromarty
on April 28, 1911, she was the daughter of the
late Edgar Allen and former Janet Scott. On
April 9, 1938 she was married to Harold Col-
eman of Staffa and they farmed in Hibbert
Township for some 25 years, before moving
to Seaforth. Mary was a member of First

HEATHER -ANN STAPLETON, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Neil Stapleton of RR 2 Auburn,
and granddaughter of Esther Kelly and Ed-
win Stapleton, both of Dublin, graduated
from Glendon College of York University
June 11, 1988, with an Honors BA in Interna-
tional Studies, in the bilingual stream.
Heather -Ann studied her third year at the
Univeristy of Strasbourg, France. She has
accepted a position with Hume Publishing in
Toronto.
Presbyterian Church, Seaforth and was a
Dietary Employee at the Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital for 20 years. She enjoyed
her flowers, quilting, euchre and watching
fastball tournaments. She reorganized and
managed the Shuffleboard Courts at the
Seaforth and District Community Centres
for three ye -
Mrs. Colem, ✓ived by her husband
as well as four ..Jren; John and his wife
Betty of Seaforth, Donald of Seaforth, Joan
and husband Jack Cleave of Exeter and
Allen of Kitchener.
Also surviving are five grandchildren,
and one brother Ernest Allen of Mitchell.
She was predeceased by one daughter
Margaret Scott in 1985.
Friends were received at the Whitney-
Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth and the
funeral service was held June 28 with the
Rev. William Barber officiating. Interment
Harpurhey Cemetery.
Pallbearers were cousins; Lloyd Allen,
Eldon Allen, Carter Kerslake, Murray
Christie, Colin MacDougald and Alfred
Ross, Sr.
Flower bearers were her five grand-
children, Kevin and Sherri Coleman, Chris
and Carrie Cleave and Ronald Scott.
DELLA DENNIS
Della Dennis, formerly of Seaforth and
McKillop Township, died Monday, June 20,
1988 at St. Thomas General Hospital. She
was 87.
A daughter of the late Albert McGavin
and Agnes McCulla, Mrs. Dennis is survived
by one son Bert of St. Thomas and grand-
children, Margaret and Sean.
She was predeceased by her husband Alex
Dennis.
The family received friends at the
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth and
a funeral service was held June 23. Inter-
ment Maitlandbank Cemetery, Seaforth.
PATRICK J. O'ROURKE
Patrick J. O'Rourke died Monday, June
13, 1988 at his residence in Burlington. He,
was 64.
Born in Dublin, Ontario, he was the son of
the late Thomas O'Rourke and former
Evangeline Anderson.
He is survived by sons, Robert and his
wife Esther of Stoney Crrek, William of
Burlington and Patrick and his wife Leslie
of Dundas; and daughters, Cynthia of Burl-
ington and Kathryn and her husband Frank
Gushie of Zurich.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren;
sisters, Dorothy (Mrs. Frank Robinson) of
Burlington, Kathryn (Mrs. Clayton Looby)
of Dublin; and brothers, Jack and Bill of
Dublin.
Mr. O'Rourke was predeceased by his
wife, the former Margaret Maloney; and
sisters, Margaret (Mrs. Gus Denomme),
Pearl O'Rourke and brother Joe.

PATRICIA RIMMER, daughter of Gord and
Jane Rinuner, graduated June 18 on the
president's honor list, from Lambton Col-
lege's Early Childhood Education program.
She has accepted a position with the City of
Chatham at their May Court Centre.

Funeral Home, Burlington ani ss of
Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy
Rosary Church, Burlington on Friday, June
17. Interment was in Holy Sepulchre
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bryan O'Rourke, Tom
O'Rourke, Herb Robinson, Mike Denomme,
Brian Mederak and Terry Lewis.
NICOLE (PRESZCATOR) DALLAS
Nicole (Preszcator) Dallas of RR 5 Clin-
ton died as a result of an accident on Satur-
day, June 25, 1988. She was 13.
She is survived by her mother Rene
Whitney; sisters Sheila and Elizabeth (Mrs.
Steven DeLong) of Mitchell; and brothers
Brian Dallas and Paul Preszcator.
She was predeceased by her father James
Dallas.
There was no funeral home visitation and
a private family service was held Monday at
the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth.
Interment Maitlandbank Cemetery.
JAMES SAMUEL DALLAS
James Samuel Dallas of RR 1 Brucefield,
died as a result of an accident on Saturday,
June 25, 1988. He was 35.
Mr. Dallas is survived by his wife, the
former Rene Whitney, and children
Elizabeth, Sheila and Brian.
Also . surviving are his father Preston
Dallas of Stratford, and sister Joan Dallas
of Stratford.
Mr. Dallas was predeceased by one
daughter Nicole.
There was no funeral home visitation and
a private family service was held Monday at
the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home. Inter-
ment Maitlandbank Cemetery.
JOHN MILTON NOTTINGHAM
John Milton Nottingham of Delta, British
Columbia and formerly of Kinburn, died
Tuesday, June 7, 1988. He was 74.
Mr. Nottingham and his wife, the former
Warrena Oliver, came to Ontario in 1940 to
take over a farm east of Kinburn which
belonged to Mr. Nottingham's aunt, the late
Mrs. Ben Snell. They returned to Delta, B.C.
in 1945 where they continued to farm until
their retirement 10 years ago.
Mr. Nottingham was a member of the
Ladner Baptist Church and the Ladner
Lions Club.
In addition to his wife he is survived by
three sons, Bert and wife Betty, Warren and
wife Janice and Gordon and wife Joan; and
daughter Ruth and husband Randy Kamp.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Grace
and Peter Nottingham, Ann and husband
Dave Burgoyne, Lisa and Cindy Nottingham
and Mark, Melanie and Adam Kamp; one
great grandchild Marie Christine
Burgoyne; one brother Miles and one sister
Clara Baldwin.
A memorial service was held Saturday,
June 11 in the Ladner Baptist Church.
