QNEWS UEENSWAY
Queensway residents enjoy social
Queensway ladies enjoyed manicures last
Monday. They visited in the sun room while
receiving the extra pampering.
Tuesday after Fun and Fitness residents
viewed the video taken of the Talent Show.
It was great reviewing all the fun they had
and also seeing those in the audience. Thank
you very much to John Castledine for taping
the show. Several parishioners came with
him and residents were pleased to visit with
them following the service. Thank you to
Carol Rodgers, volunteer pianist, for the
service.
Wednesday all enjoyed the yearly visit to
Bill Gibson's cottage. It was a super time.
They listened to and sang along with organ
and piano music. A few brave souls even
danced in the kitchen. They ended the after-
noon with Bill's delicious carrot cake and
ice cream, also lots of tea and coffee. A few
residents commented on the beautiful china.
This was no paper plate affair. Many thanks
to the most gracious host, and the volunteer
drivers who made the outing possible.
On Thursday, the Baking Club got
together and hulled fresh strawberries in
preparation for the fund raiser for
Alzheimer's Research - the annual
Strawberry Social. In the evening the movie
feature "The Jolson Story" was viewed by
several residents.
Residents Council met Friday morning
and discussed serveral issues. Friday after-
noon the Strawberry Social took place.
Residents were pleased to see many family
and friends from the community. They
would like to thank Ivan Norris, George
Mathonia and Lloyd Thompson for enter-
taining. Also thank you to Michael O'Connor
for so generously loaning his chairs to us.
They appreciated the many volunteers who
made this Alzheimer fund raiser possible.
Congratulations to Lillian Smith and
Mary Witherspoon who were the lucky win-
ners of a beautiful flower arrangement and
wall hanging.

MILLER
In loving memory of Lloyd Miller who died two
years ago, June 30th, 1986.
He left us quietly
His thoughts unknown
But left us a memory

For when on earth
He was one of the best.
Sadly missed by wife Doris, Ron, Gretta,
Dianne and grandchildren. 40-26-x 1

THOUGHTS
You tried so hard to stay with us
Your fight was all in vain,
God took you to be with him,
He freed you from all pain.
To your resting place we visit and place
Your flowers with care.
But no one knows the heartaches
When we walk away and leave you there.
They say memories are golden,
Well that is very true,
But we never wanted memories,
We only wanted you.
To us you were someone special,
And miss you more each day.
One of the saddest days in our life
Was the day you passed away.
No tears can show, no words can say,
How much we lost on that sad day.
Lovingly remembered by Ken, Betty, Ian, Deb-
bie, Crystal, Kimberly, Kevin, Wayne, Ruth,
Darlene and Denise. 40-26-xl
