England different now from war time I would like to take a moment to thank those responsible for writing this column while my wife and I were holidaying in England. Thelma, Cleave and Peggy, I understand, were the ones responsible. Thanks again. We had a very nice time visiting relations, both mine and Barbara, plus an unknown amount of castles, cathedrals and ruins of the Roman and Viking era. England has in- deed changed a lot from what we remembered of the war years. The bomb damage is all built up again and the lights have been shining steadily since the blackout days. England now has roads com- parable to Canada's plus their winding WEDDINGS lanes, and most all households have at least one car: From the little I've heard since arriving home, the Dominion Convention held recent- ly in Ottawa was very good. Seaforth delegates were very pleased with the meetings and would like to thank the Branch .for the opportunity of being able to attend. There will be more dinners at the end of each month until September. The ladies will welcome your support in their endeavors in the future.
