All are available in the former medical clinic building. Jim Preszcator, owner of the building, has been putting time and money into the building over the past two months, getting the apartments renovated and the commer- cial space ready to be leased. Die west end of the building contains two apartments, one upstairs and one down. Mr. Preszcator says they are huge apartments, the bedrooms being 12x14, the downstairs kitchen 16x12 and the living room is 12x26. Mr. Preszcator will be installing chandeliers, ceiling fans and electric heat, and the living room of the downstairs apart- ment contains a fireplace which will be con- verted to natural gas. A washer and drier will come with the apartments. The downstairs apartment has two bedrooms and the upstairs apartment has three Mr. Preszcator will be asking $500 per month for the downstairs apartment and $450 for the one upstairs. I realize it's $100 more than they're ask- ing downtown, but you can hardly compare these apartments to those," he says. Outside the apartments have already been completely renovated. Several layers of old paint were burnt off the victorian building and some new coats applied. A new roof was added, sheeting replaced, and the chimney and cornerstones were repaired. The commercial space where the medical clinic used to be is now completely wide open with no partitions. Mr. Preszcator says it can be re -partitioned to accommodate professional offices -three or four of them - or it can be left open to accomnodate so- meone with a need for a lot of space. The entire building has been rewired and COMMUNITY CALENDAR If you're organizing a non-profit event of interest to other Seaforth area residents, phone the recreation office at 527.0882 or the Expositor at 527.0240, or mail the information to Communi- ty Calendar, The Huron Expositor.
