Seaforth Merchants back on"track The Seaforth Merchants Senior Mens Hardball team saved face this week, with a 6-3 win Sunday over the Listowel Juniors. The win came on the heels of a 17-0 whipp- ing at the hands of Exeter Tuesday night. Exeter pitcher Kevin Drager pitched a no-hitter through Tuesday's five inning game. He faced only 16 batters, struck out seven and walked two. Dave Akey started on the mound for Seaforth, pitched three innings and gave up 10 runs on 11 hits. Akey walked five bat- ters and struck out three. Scott Driscoll pitched one inning of relief, allowed seven runs on six hits and walked two batters. Clendon Coombs also pitched one inning. He allowed no runs on one hit, walked one batter and struck out one. "Drager pitched a great game, you can't take anything away from him, " said3Vler- chant Coach Marc Robinet. He added however, that his team still has to learn to be more patient at the plate. "We swung at some bad pitches and when we did hit the ball we didn't hit it hard." Robinet acknowledged Exeter was also a good hitting team, and noted almost all of their hits went to the opposite field. "That's a sign of good disciplined hit- ters," he said. sir rsi?i MOONLIGHT MADNESS at GINETTE'S FAMILY RESTAURANT FISH & CHIPS eat -In or 2 9 9 take-out 5:00 p.m. — 12:00 Midnight ' Licenced Under LLBO t. 13274004- 527-0180 MOONLIGHT MADNESS, SLEEPWALK YOUR WAY TO DELICIOUS PIZZA!
