Three county municipalities
receive $95,000 in grants
Three Huron County municipalities will

municipalities across the province.
Ashfield will receive a grant of $15,000,
while Morris and East Wawanosh
Townships will receive $40,000 each.
Administered by municipalities, the pro-
gram assists homeowners in upgrading

of a loan may be forgiven, depending on
the recipient's income. Interest rates
range from zero to 10 per cent, again
depending on income.
For applicants, the maximum annual
qualifying income, after allowable deduc-
tions are made, is $21,000.

program. In communities without.;:
municipal boundaries, OHRP is ad-

conjunction with the Ministry of -Northern
Development.
More than 40,000 Ontario homeowners ;: '
have benefited from OHRP since the pro-
gram was announced in 1974.
OHRP is one of the Ministry' of Housing's
initiatives to help conserve housing in
Ontario.
OFFIRR plus deadline is May 18
The Ontario Family Farm Interest Rate
Reduction (OFFIRR) Program is designed
to help farmers with high debt loads.
It reduces debt costs by covering part of
the interest charged on farm loans. In ef-
fect, OFFIRR Plus can lower the rate of in-
terest you pay on farm debt to as low as
eight per cent.
OFFIFF Plus provides assistance on all
types of debt - short, intermediate and long
term.
You must have equity in the farm of at"
least 10 per cent, but not more than 75 per r.
cent in order to qualify.
To qualify, you must supply a workable"
farm plan plus other financial • documents.
You can get an OFFIRR application form
from any OMAF county office. Arrange
time with a staff member if you need
guidance on how to proceed with the re-
quired financial statements.
