Seaforth area students display talents in Mitchell
Seafu th area students were given the
chance to show off their musical talents last
week at the 42nd Annual Mitchell Music

The five day festival was organized for the
second year in a row by the Mitchell
Jaycees. Competition ran from Monday
morning to Friday night and featured local
talent in many classes of piano, violin, and
voice competitions.
St. James Separate school was the only
one in the Seaforth area to participate as a
school. Not all of the students named here
competed at the same grade level as they at-

number of students in older grades who
played against younger students who had
comparable musical experience.

Bakel won second in the Grade 2 boys solo,
Anna Mailloux was first in the Grade 3 girls
solo, Sarah Noakes was first in Grade 1 girls

schools In the area it was represented by
students who competed on their own. Julie
Carter and Jodie Hugill represented SPS.
