Obituary correction CARL ROBERT ANDREW(KELLY) DALTON Carl Robert Andrew (Kelly) Dalton died in St. Petersburg, Florida on Monday, March 28, 1988. Born, in Staffa a son of the late Robert and Maud (Wright) Dalton, Kelly Dalton farmed in McKillop Township for a year, then mov- ed to Schumacher where he worked in the McIntyre mines for two and a half years. He returned to McKillop Township where he farmed until retiring to Seaforth in 1954. Mr. Dalton was active in community af- fairs and served on Seaforth Council for nine years - part of that time as reeve of the town. He served as Seaforth's represen- tative on the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority for several years and was an ac- tive member of Northside United Church. He was also fond of shuffleboard and entered many competitions while wintering in Florida. Mr. Dalton is survived by his wife Janet (Smith) Dalton; sons, Robert and his wife Dorothy of Londesboro, Percy; and his wife Mavis of Seaforth, Murray and friend Janet of Seaforth and Douglas and friend Jean of Goderich; one daughter Doris Muir and hus- band Dave; 20 grandchildren and 33 great grandhildren. Also surviving are sisters, Harriett (Mrs. Murray Savauge) of St. Catharines and Aileen (Mrs. Robert Christy) of Toronto. Mr. Dalton was predeceased by three sisters, Leta, (Mrs. Foster Fowler) of Mit- chell, Alma (Mrs. Robert Beare) of Toronto and Gladys (Mrs. Harry Howe) of Niagara Falls. The family received friends, neighbors and relatives at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home and a funeral service was held ATTENTION .FARMERS: We're not as big, in size, as some... Flower bearers were Ron Dalton, Michael Dalton, Larry Dalton and Dennis Dalton. OLIVE B. MOIR Olive B. Moir of Hensall, died Sunday, April 3, 1 at South Huron Hospital, Ex- eter. She was 77. Mrs. Moir is survived by six sons, Ron and Dorothy Moir of Strathroy, Bruce and Janet Moir of Hensall, Gerald and Blanche Moir of Seaforth, Harry and Bev Moir of Hensall, Robert and Jean Moir of Brandon, Manitoba and John Moir of Henson; five daughters, Lila and John Peebles of St. Marys, Betty Sangster of Hensall, Gladys and Dalton Skinner of Exeter, Margaret and Frank Varley of Hensall and Patsy Moir of Listowel. Also surviving are sisters, Myrtle Coo r of Egmondville, Helen (Mrs. Cy Ca of London, Shirley (Mrs. Glenn Dietz) o London and May Varley of St. Catharines, and one brother Harold Wolff of London; 28 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation was in the Hensall Chapel of the Michael P. O'Connor Funeral Homes, Hen- sall, where the funeral service was con- ducted on April 5 with the Reverend Charles Henderson officiating. Interment followed in Hensall Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Carmel Presbyterian Church or the charity of one's choice. MILDRED JEPSON Mildred Jepson died Tuesday, March 29, 1988 at the Brantford General Hospital. She was 79. The former Mildred Britton, Mrs. Jepson is survived by daughters, Patricia (Mrs. Jack Rendle) of Brantford, and Peggy (Mrs. Murray Davison) of Oklahoma, USA and son Paul Reekie of Melbourne, Australia. Also surviving are two sisters, Helen (Mrs. Archie Hoggarth) of London and Edith (Mrs. Robert McMillan) of Seaforth, sister-in-law Nan Britton of Hensall and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Jepson was predeceased by two husbands, William Jepson and Andrew Reekie, and a brother, Rev. Clifford Britton (1974). Friends visited at the Beckett and Glaves Funeral Home in Brantford on Thursday and Friday. A funeral service was held at Brant Avenue United , Church on Saturday with the Reverend David G. Watson officiating. LOIJISE BENNEWIES Louise Bennewies Wed Tuesday, March 30, 1 at the Mitchell Nursing Home. She was 98. Born in McKillop Township on December 30, 1889, she was a daughter of the late Frederick Dietz and the former Elizabeth Hillebrecht. On November 9, 1910 she mar- ried Henry Adam Bennewies. Following their marriage the couple farmed in McKillop Township until re_ _ to Mitchell. Mrs. Bennewies was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brodhagen and a charter member of the ECW of the church. She was also a former member of the Grace Lutheran Ladies Aid in Mitchell. Surviving are two sons, Carl and wife Pearl of Waterloo, and Harry and wife Mar- jorie of Galt, Cambridge; and three daughters, Pearl Mueller of Mitchell, Ruby and husband Harvey Dolmage of Seaforth and Rose and husband Aubrey Eiclmieyer of Stratford. Also surviving are six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, three great -great- grandsons and geveral nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bennewies was predeceased by her husband on July 23,1972, ander son, Meanie. She was the last surviving member of her family, having been predeceased by a sister and a brother. Frieni': were received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, Mitchell and a funeral ser- vice was held Fri l : y with the Reverend Ar- thur Horst officiating. Burial was in St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery, Brodhagen. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. KEITH MACLEAN Keith MacLean of Seaforth, died Tuesday, March 30, 1988 at the Clinton Public Hospital. He was 63. A son of the late Robert J. MacLean and the former Myrtle McHaffey, Mr. MacLean was a retired florist and a town employee. He is survived by his wife Wilma; son Gordon of Lond ; and two daughters, Lynn Skea and KarencLean, both of Seaforth. Also surviving are three sisters, Maude Broadfoot of Goderich, Verna Hay of Ex- eter, and Ruth Flood of Burlington; two brothers, Bill of Exeter and Grant of RR 2 Kippen; and four grandchildren, Colin, Karen, Trevor and Tawnya. Mr. MacLean was predeceased by one brother Kenneth. There was no funeral home visitation. A memorial service was held at the Whitney- Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth on Saturday. Following cremation, burial was in Exeter Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses. Consultation continues on programs Agriculture Minister John Wise announc- ed consultation with the agri-food industry will continue in an attempt to develop an agricultural fairs and exhibitions program that will satisfy the needs of all sectors. The Minister has received recommenda- tions from an industry advisory board and its sub -committees representing Canadian fairs and exhibitions associations and livestock producers. "I'd like to see all interested parties get together and try to reach a consensus on these issues," Mr. Wise said. "As long as discussions continue, other alternatives can be investigated to address unresolved concerns." The fairs and exhibitions program will re- main unchanged until agreement is reached.
