The Seaforth Bantams are the WOAA
group play champions.
With the series tied after the first two
games, the Bantams played in Mitchell
Monday night and lost 3-2.
Scoring for Seaforth were Paul McElwain
and Jeff, Gemmell. Assists went to Kevin
McLlwain, Karsten Carroll and Jason
McNichol.
The pressure was on Seaforth in the fourth
game in Seaforth. At the end of regulation
time the game was tied 5-5 and after ten
minutes of overtime the score was 6-6.
Jason McNichol scored three goals. Ted
Sills scored two goals and assisted on one
and Karsten Carroll scored one goal.
Assisting on the goals were Kevin McLlwain
with three, and Brad Schroeder, Brent van

Seaforth won game five 7-4. The game was
close until the mid point of the third period
when Seaforth got three unanswered goals.
Kevin McLlwain got cwo goals and one
assist. Ray Murray scored one goal and
assisted on two goals. Paul Mcliwdin got
one goal and one assist. Jason Horan, Brent
van den Akker and Brad Schroeder each
scored one goal.
Ted Sills assisted on four goals. Jeff Gem-
mell and Jason McNichol each assisted on
one goal.
Since the series was tied again, a sixth
game was necessary in Mitchell on Sunday
afternoon. The score see -sawed back and
forth but when the last buzzer went Seaforth
was ahead 5-4.

van den Akker scored one goal and got one
assist and Jeff Gemmell scored one goal.
Assists went to Ray Murray with three
and Kevin McLlwain with two. Jason
Schoonderwoerd, Karsten Carroll and Paul
McElwain each assisted one one goal.

'88 MEMBERSHIPS Now Available
The Tween Ringette team capped off a
successful season with a trip to the
regionals held in Kitchener, March 25-27.
Leading up to this in playoff action,
Goderich defeated Forest in two games
straight to advance against a tough Mit-
chell team.
Against Mitchell, Goderich lost the first
game in overtime, won the second game
9-2, and won the third and deciding game
in overtime to advance against first place
Seaforth.
Against Seaforth, Goderich again lost
the opening match but rebounded to win
the second game. Goderich went on to lose
a very tough, hard fought final game 4-2 to
the Seaforth team which went on to win the
regional tournament championship.
At the regionals, Goderich defeated
Forest in their first game to advance
against Lambeth in the round robin for-
mat. Lambeth scored with three seconds
left in the game to win 6-5.
In the final game, the girls were
defeated 4-2 by Kitchener thus allowing
Lambeth to advance.
The coaches congratulate the girls for a
great team effort through dedication and
hard work.
The team takes this opportunity to thank
Oleen Theriault for her hard work and
dedication at the regionals and all year.
