SEAFORTH MANOR - Brian Melady of Dublin and Jim KeIIy of Seaforth were among
the visitors to the Seaforth Manor on St. Patrick's Day. Mr. Melady provided musical
entertainment, and Mr. Kelly sang along with the gang at the Manor. While this picture
doesn't show it Mr. Kelly sported a suit entirely of green -right up to the top hat- and his
button reads "Kiss me, I'm Irish." Corbett photo.

Kippen East Women's Institute enjoyed a
very interesting and lively evening on
Wednesday, March 16 when they met in the
Lounge Of Northcrest apartments in Hensall
for a cultural activities evening. There were
11 members and eight guests present.
The room had been fittingly decorated for
St. Patrick's Day by one of the guests - Babe
McGregor, and she was thanked by the
hostess - Hilda Payne. President Grace '
Drummond welcomed everyone and read
"The Legend of the Shamrock". Roll call
was answered by members and some guests
modelling antique jewellery and watches
ranging from 32 to 129 years old, many of
which had been passed on from relatives.
The convenor for the cultural activities
committee Helen MacLean presented the
motto "to handle yourself use your head, to
handle others use your heart". Helen summ-
ed up her motto with one word "tact".

Helen MacLean then introduced Thea
Wisch who demonstrated an Easter scene
using a yellow basket filled with reindeer
moss from Algonquin Park. Pussy willows
from her own garden were used as
background, tiny roosters, chickens, eggs,
and a bunny completed the delightful Easter
arrangement. Thea wishes us all a happy
Easter in her native language of Germany
"Frohn Ostern". She was thanked by
Helen MacLean. Babe McGregor thanked
Hilda Payne for inviting the guests from
Northcrest apartments and * neighboring
houses. Margaret Hoggarth gave a report
on the coordinators workshop that she and
Grace Drummond had attended earlier in
the month. Next Women's Institute meeting
will be the annual meeting starting at 6:30
pm with a supper on April 20 at Hensall
United Church. Roll call - a Canadian law
that causes me some concern. Remember
gift for secret pal exchange. Speaker will be
Lynn Garrison - nutritionist from Huron
County. There will be an executive meeting
to plan the year's activities of Kippen East
at home of Margaret Hoggarth on Monday
April 25 at 8 Dm.
Queensway partakes of green punch
Queensway residents played bingo with
the Hensall United Church ladies' last Mon-

Tuesday morning everyone loosened up as
they went through their exercise routine.
They take turns counting the repetitions in
