Steep shatters
Steep, Steeper, Steepest!! How else could
one describe the earth -shaking performance
of super Steve Steep as he shattered the 700
barrier for the first time with a stupendous
701 triple. He was joined in this point explo-
sion by teammate and fellow conspirator
Marvelous Murray Bennewies who once
again captured both of the men's weekly
highs for the Nth. time in a row, bowling a
skillful 904 triple and not one but count them
two 300 plus games (a 351 and a 303).
Another member of this point greedy
team John (I almost beat you this time)
Aubin bowled one of his highest singles of
the year with a 264. As usual these bowling
bipeds chose to do their combined damage
while playing our team. Why do you people
insist upon doing this to us? We are wonder-
ful, . basically O.K. people and we don't
deserve this kind of treatment. However to
be perfectly honest I must confess we were
not the only casualties in this night of pin
madness. Combining two heavyweight
triples Doug Leonhart (outstanding -792)
and Karl Teichart (heavy -670) helped their
team take three of a possible four points
from one of their nearest rivals in the ten-
sion filled point battle.
Before we check in on the females off the
league I wish to point out to all of those
moms, dads, brothers, sisters and any other
relatives who may have been wondering
about the identity of our mysterious Rookie -
that he is in reality the one and only Bob
Powerhouse) Wright. The Rookie is a frosh
in the bowling world but we are certain he
will remain active in the bowling scene for
eons and eons. Now back to business.
The fickle women's weekly crown has
once again gravitated back to that golden
girl Joanne (they fell, they fell) Knights.
