'Fhe defensive units, headed by goaltender Adam Agau, camp up with three strong games holding the oppostion to only two goals while the offensive units tallied for 12 goals. This weekend's games by the boys were by far the toughest this year. They played two good teams, Stratford, Waterloo and Clearwater (Sarnia Twp). Only 100 percent effort by each member of the team enabled them to do so well in the A Division of the Tournament. The team work of passing and checking, that the boys have worked so hard to attain in practice, finally paid off. Seafortb Atom Is met Stratford Saturday and came up with a 4-0 victory. Goals were by Mike Watt 2, Joe Murray 1 and Steve McInally 1. Assists went to Wayne Schoonderwoerd, Mike Devepeattix, Mike Weber, Joe Murray and Mike }Rugill. In the second game Seafortb met Waterloo and won by a 4-1 score. Seaforth's goals went to Mike Devereaux2, Boyd Devereaux 1 and Mike Watt 1. Junior Belles play best game The Seaforth Junior Belles travelled to St. Mary's on Sunday and played what was to be one of their best games yet. The first period proved to be very exciting as both teams worked hard, but Seaforth pulled through with a score of 9-6. Seaforth opened up the scoring when Tanury Nash found an empty spot in the net, after receiving a pass from Sheri Kling. St. Mary's responded just two minutes later as they slipped one by Seaforth's goaltender and left the score tied at one. Seaforth's Lisa Henderson blasted one just seven seconds later to put Seaforth back on top, and fr m then on it was Seaforth's territory. Seaforth goals were scored by Lisa Henderson with five and Tammy Nastrwrth four. Assists went to. Melissa Whitmore with three, Andrea Ribey with two, Sheri Kling with two and Lisa Henderson and Tracey Sills each with one. Seaforth's hard work and great team ef- fort by all players, allowed them to defeat St. Mary's. Everyone played well including Seaforth's goaltender Sara Teall. Ringette Petites on bad side of score The Seaforth Ringette Petites met Exeter for the first time this season and ended up on the bad side of a 12-2 score. Scoring for Seaforth were Kathy Devereaux and Kelly Rau with an assist go- ing to Tricia Smith. The third period was delayed by a fire starting arouod the ice cleaning equipment but some quick thinking on the part of the operator prevented a very serious situation from occurring. When hockey action resumed, Murray, assisted by Carroll, counted the final goal for the locals, halfway through the third period. Many other scoring opportunities were there, when Milverton picked up three minor penalties, but Seaforth was unable to capitalize on them.
