Dublin couple celebrates 50th anniversary

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Ferg
Stapleton, Dublin, on the occasion of their
50th wedding anniversary. There family of
three sons and three daughters and families
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Stapleton, . Dublin, Mr.
and Mrs. Bob Stapleton, Kitchener, Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Stapleton, Thunder Bay, Mr. and
7 -Mrs. Kalcsa (Jo -Anne), Kitchener, Mr. and
Mrs. Hlscott (Kathleen), Toronto, Mr. and
Mrs. Miller (Diane), St. Joseph and 16
grandchildren were all home.
Mr. and Mrs. Stapleton and their children
and spouses enjoyed a meal at Krebs
Restaurant in Stratford on Saturday
evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Whetham, Dublin,
celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary
and were treated to a dinner at the Tama
Inn from their family.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Costello (Murray) of
Kingston visited with the Murray relatives
aver the holidays in Dublin and district.
Joe and Olga Eckert celebrated New
Years with their family members Ann
Hurley, Karen and Richard from Stratford,
Duncan and Judy, Angie, Jenny, Tammy of
Stratford, Jack and Nancy, Sandra and
Chris Storey, Clinton, Barbara Eckert and
Brad Canning of Mississauga, John and Joe,
Jr. Eckert and friend, Kitchener and Mike
Eckert, Dublin.
Tracy and Chad Wolfe, Eileen Wolfe's
grandchildren, of Mitchell spent the
Christmas holidays with their grandmother
last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Lou Rowland celebrated
their New Years at their home here 'in
Dublin. Their guests were their daughter
and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. David Murtha
and children Meghan, Patrick, Keelen and
new baby Dan of Listowel and Mr. and Mrs.
Pat Rowland, Samantha, Alexandria of Kit-
chener, Mrs. Mary McIver of Seaforth and
Mrs. Venetia Murtha of Mitchell.
At Don and Eileen MacRae's over the
holidays 'were Pat and Marion Cleary of
London and New Year's Slmday gue is were
our sister Mrs. Rita Gooding, London,
Jaynes D. and Marg, Jenny and Ian MacRae
of London, Mike and Patricia, Marti and
D.D., Kurt and Joey, Dublin. Ian and Nora
Ann and Trevor of London were unable to
join us because of i ness.

Saturday from an enjoyable holiday spent in
Puerto la Cruz, South America where the
weather was sunny and 90° and Steve ac-
quired a great tan.
Carl and Jo Ann Langman, Shauna and
Ryan of Orillia spent New Year's Eve and
day with Ron and Mary Ryan and family.
Private Joe Ryan of Petawawa and
Private John Ryan of London spent the
Christmas holidays with their parents.
Mary Ryan of Stratford was home for
Christmas. On Boxing Day Jdlia and An-
drew Jarecsni and Sarah of Merlin visited
with Ron and Mary Ryan and family.
Wayne and Melita Cronin and Christopher
of Egmondville; Gerry and Karen Ryan,
Jason, Amanda and Jeremy; Dale Cronin of
Dublin and Susan Coveney of Mitchell were
guests on New Year's Day with Gary and
Ann Cronin, Brent and Jamie.
Clair and Marie Oldham of London visited
on Sunday with Gerry and Karen Ryan and
family.
Clarence and Cecilia Ryan and Mark and
Debbie Core of Seaforth were guests on New
Year's Day with Jim and Pat Subject and
family of Kitchener.
Don and Brenda Ryan, Matthew, Stephen
and David of Melbourne and Mary Jo
Nelson of RR 1, Lucknow visited on Sunday
with Clarence and Cecilia Ryan.

HOLIDAY VISITORS
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Huether, Steven and
John spent Christmas evening at the home
of Jack and Nancy Holmes and family in
Clinton. Isabelle Shortreed spent a few days
prior to Christmas with daughter Louise and
Bill Smith in Mitchell, then joined other
on members of their family and had Ckiristmas

Mr. nd Mrs. Allan Searle spent
with Earl and Mary Pennington
and family in Goderich.
Viola -Kirkby had Christmas with Done
and Jean Kirkby and Paul, then went to
Toronto on Boxing Day to have Christmas
with Mr. and Mrs. Lester Machan and
family.
Annie Reid attended a pre -Christmas
family gathering at the home of Jack and
Audrey McLiwain in Seaforth on the even-
ing of December 19. On Sunday evening
there was a guest with Jerry and Anne
Ryan. Annie had Christmas Day with Doug
and Marjory Fraser and family. Bob and
Connie Cook, Mississauga and Symon Cook,
Sidcup, England visited with Bill and Marie
Coutts for a few days, on Christmas Day
they all visited with Allan and Karen Carter
and family of Clinton.
Bev Stevenson, Ron and Chris spent
Christmas Day with Mr. and Mrs. Stuart
Stevenson and other members of the family.
On Sunday they had their Christmas with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allan McCall.
Barry Currie of Brussels and Vance Steven-
son were also dinner guests at the same
home.

Phyllis Platchell were Don and Dorothy
Street of Bluevale; Kathleen Cuthill,
Seaforth; Helen Mitchell, Listowel; Luella
Mitche% Sarah Stephenson; Jack Mitchell,

Doug, R.R. 3, Brussels; Ross and Julie Mit-
chell and girls, R.R. 3 Brussels.
Walton Hall was a busy place with
Christmas activities. The Finlayson
families held their Christmas gathering on
Dec. 20. The McLaughlin decendants met
there on Boxing Day.

visited with Ruth Thamer on Saturday.
Allan and Karen Carter and girls spent
Nelle VeaT43 with her parents, BM and Marie
Allan and Betty McCall were Saturday
evening supper guests with Barry Currie
and Dawn in Brussels. Other family
members present were John and Gail Cur-
rie, Cheryl and friend; Rhonda and friend of
Orangeville; Doug and Betty Currie and
James of Brampton.
Rolly and Teenie Achilles entertained 28
family members and friends on Christmas
Day. Brian Marks and Linda Bruneau and
her brother of Calgary left for Hong Kong
early in December, they intend to tour dif-
ferent places for about three weeks.
Christmas Day guests with Elva Bolger
were Bob and Shirley Lol Tcrop and family,
London; Bill and Jean Hutchison and fami-
ly, Listowel; Larry and Faye Bolger and
family Blyth.
On Sunday, Jan. 3, Bill and Jean Hut-
chison and Jeff, Listowel: Thelma and
Frances Melady were Harry and Pat Ryan,
Kevin, Lori Lynn and Chris of Thamesford;
Anne and Wayne Chapin, William and
Vanessa; Brian Melady of Mitchell; Debbie
Sean and Brian Melady of RR 5, Seaforth;
Jim Melady of Hanover and Don Melady of
London.
Don Melady returned to medical school at
Western University after spending two mon-
ths working in a hospital in Northern Haiti.

Paul and Dianne, Rose and Jenny MacLeod

The Council of the Town of Seaforth cordially invites interested persons to attend on
information centre between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on:
MONDAY. JANUARY 11, 1988 at the
SEAFOPT6e COUNCIL CHAMBERS
The Town is proceeding with the development of a project that will result in major
improvements to the Town's sewage collection. pumping and treatment facilities.
Definition of the problems to be solved and a review of alternative solutions have
been completed. A Report is available for public viewing at the Municipal Office.
Representatives of the engineering firm conducting the study will be present to explain
details of the study and to answer any questions that might arise. Anyone wishing to
express an opinion concerning the project or any other concerns should attend.
