Rev. Kenneth Knight conducted worship
in Carmel Presbyterian Church on Sunday
with Joan Keys presiding at the organ.
The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be
dispensed at the regular hour 10:15 a.m.
Sunday June 17. Cromarty church anniver-
sary will be on Sunday, June 24 at 11 a.m.
when the church service will be withdrawn at
Carmel, so the congregation may attend the
anniversary service at Cromarty.
The members of Amber Rebekah Lodge
met on Wednesday evening with Noble
Grand Marg Upshall presiding assisted by
Eunice Aikenhead Vice Grand.
A thank you note was received from the
ioderich Lodge for the birthday card
received. The lodge members and the
subordinate Lodge entered a float in ,the
Hensall Spring Fair and arrangements are
being made to enter one in the Centennial;
parade,
Lois Jones was appointed Vice Grand and
Evelyn, secretary.
Next eeting will be held on June 20 after
which I,ddge•will conclude for the summer
months.
The June meeting of Unit 3 of Hensall
United Church met on Tuesday. Earle`
Coleman was in charge of the worship service
and president Dorothy-, Parker welcomed
everyone. -
A thank you card was received from
Queensway Nursing Home. Mary Brintnell
read an article from the Mandate on
"Challenge and Celebration."' Plans were
finalized for the Saturday Bake Sale at
Fiddler's Contest weekend and for the
Church's Open House Centennial weekend.

showed a ;film and Beatrice: Munn read
several poems.. .

Centre the Homebound" as the speaker.
This service is held at Huronview and
,provides daily physical.and social benefits as
well as independence for shut-ins.
Volunteers provide daily transportation to
and from Huronview and'there.is:a different
program each day. More volunteers and more
funding ts.always needed..
Joyce. Pepper, President, conducted the

Farm.'` Belva Fuses sang talo selections,
accompanied by Joyce Pepper at the Piano.

Mitchell and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Corbett were
regent visitors with their mother Mrs. Jack

QUEENSWAY NEWS
Starting off our week of activities was a
sing song on. Monday morning while in the
afternoon, the residents got involved in a
bingo ggaide.
On Tuesday morning some of the residents
listened:,,to ,.a tape on Helen Keller. On
Tuesday afternoon church service was
conducted by Rev. Jim Sutton; assisting him
were Greta Lavender, ,Marion Bissett and
Mrs. Frank Forrest at the piano.
'Most of the residents involved in crafts on
Wednesday afternoon worked on a plant
shelf.. In the afternoon the residents enjoyed
dir rides to Bayfield.
T)ursdaymorning the Baking Club got
together to take some squares and cookies.
Their homemade baking was later enjoyed by
ally`the residents.
'Oil Friday, Neil Regan came out as 'the
men's high score bowler/129. Murray Howe
also did well with a score of 115.
On Sunday afternoon some of- the. residents
took the opportunity td get outside for walks
and enjoy the beautiful weather.
"Birthday Greetings" are extended to
Stephanie Bosse who celebrated her birthday
this past week.
A special thank you is extended to each of
the staff members who were over to take
some of the residents outside to watch the
parade Fair Night.
Holy Communion was celebrated at the
United Church on Sunday morning when the
large congregation followed the Order of
Service as used by the World Council of
Churches communion service held in Van-
couver this past year.
Assisting the minister in the Communion
were Hilda Payne, and Dorothy Parker.
Those serving the congregation were Jean
Cole, Gary Kyle, Raye Jacobe, Dave Brock,
