groups. I shot a 76, four over par and tied
with Dr. Bruce Cantalon of St. Thomas,"
says Ken.
In the playoff, we golfed four extra
holes. He made four pars and I made three
pars and birdied at the fourth hole."
Ken says he entered the tournament with
the thought of winning. Playing the back
All terrain vehicle race is
opener at Hully Gully
Sunday, May 20, beginning at 2 p.m.,
three and four wheel all terrain vehicles blast
off the starting line in the first ATV race of
Hully Gully's season.
This first summer season race is a
continuation of the dominance in ATV racing
that Hully Gully has achieved over the past
few years. In January, Hully Gully staged a
three-wheeler Tri -Cross event in conjunction
with a snowmobile Snocress,
In February, Hully Gully staged Canada's
first indoor ATV supercross ATV event at the
Western Sports Fair in London. Riders from
all over Ontario are expected to compete May
2Q in this modified motocross -style event on
Hully Gully's championship calibre moto-
cross track.
THE HURON EXPOSITOR, MAY 16, 1984 — All
For this event, the track is being modified
specifically for ATV's. The races will be
scored in the motocross style, that is, a
combination score of the motos will deter-
mine final placing.
Other highlights of the day for racers
include k special money-moto to give them a
chance to add cash to the trophy classes.
Other special events for the day include a
celebrity challenge by media personalities, a
special 4 -wheel class, and a powder puff and
junior class.
The next motocross race is on June 3 and
the Canadian National 125 and 250 Expert
motocross are coming on Sunday, June 17.
SDHS students to compete
in WOSSA track and field
Five students of Seaforth District High
School will compete in the WOSSA track and
field championships in Tillsonburg on
Wednesday and Thursday after placing in
the top three at the Huron -Perth champion-
ships last week.
Those who qualified at Huron -Perth
include Dave Vantygham, third in shot put;
John McCowan, first in triole iumo: Faye
Carnochan, second in the 3000 metres and
third in the 1500 metres; Linda Van Dyk,
second in the 1500 metres and Joan Dodds,
third in the 200 metres.
Other results included Joan Dodds, fifth in
the 500 metres; Donna Godkin, fourth in the
3000 metres and sixth in the 1500 metres;
Kevin Cooper, fourth in the triple jump and
sixth in the long jump; and Martin
Andreassi, sixth in the shot put.
