EDITH MOWAT
Edith Fergus Mowat, 87, formerly of
Hullett Township died in Calgary, Alberta on
Apr. 16.
The eldest granddaughter of the late Mr.
and Mrs. David MacGregor Jr. and the eldest
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew S. Best,
formerly of-Hullett Township, Mrs. Mowat
moved to Webb, Sask. as a child.
Surviving are two daughters, Marjorie
Isabel, Mrs. Alfred Fontaine and Mary Ann,
Mrs. Jim Stewart, of Strathmore, Alta., six
sons, Lawrence Watson, Donald Alexander,
George Ronald, John William, all of Calgary,
Arthur Sutherland and Daniel MacGregor,
both of Gwynne, Alta., one sister, Jean
Steedman, of Calgary, one brother, Kenneth
H. Best, of Delta, B.C. and a number of
grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Apr.
21 at the Garden Chapel, Foster's Funeral
Home, Calgary with Rev. P.H. Burrill
officiating. interment Rocky View Garden of
Peace.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were
grandsons.
SIDNEY THOMPSON
.Sidney H. Thompson of Stratford died at
the Stratford General Hospital, on Tuesday,
May 8. He was 81.
Survived by his wife, the former Evaline
Krouse, he' is also survived by three
daughters, Eleantm Vargo of Sarnia; Ruby
Leland of Ionia, Michigan; Edna Racey of
Simcoe; five grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren. Also survived by one brother,
Elgin Thompson of Kippen and one sister,
Mrs. Edna Manson of London.
Predeceased by one son Harold; one
brother Lloyd and one sister Ella.
Funeral service was held at the Heinbuck
Funeral Home, Stratford on Friday, May 11,
Interment in Wyoming Cemetery.
JENNIFER WHITE
Jennifer Ann White of Hensall died as a
result of a motor accident, on Tuesday. May
8. She was 19.
She was a daughter of Mrs. Barbara
Tribble of Exeter and Michael White of
Summerside, P.E.1 Also surviving are two
brothers, Michael and Christopher of Moose
Jaw, Sask; and grandparents. Mrs. Gladys
Janke of Exeter and Mr. and Mrs. M.J.
White of Hamilton.
Funeral service was held at the Hopper -
Hockey Funeral Home. Exeter on Friday,
May 11 Father J. Nelligan officiated,
interment in Exeter Cemetery.
CAMERON VPVTAN
Cameron Vivian, 78. of Staffa died at his
residence on Saturday, May 12.
He was a son of late George Vivian and
Catherine Canns
Surviving are his wife. the former Marg-
aret Ellen Chappel, two daughters, Joy Scott,
of Staffa and Carol Ann Campbell, of
McKillop Twp . two sons, George and
Gordon, both of Mitchell. one brother,
Robert, of Mitchell and 15 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one brother Allan.
Funeral services were held at the Whitney.
Ribey. Funeral Home, Seaforth on Tuesday
May 15. Interment Staffa Cemetery .
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society
will be received as expressions of sympathy.

iDA WOLFE
ida Marie Wolfe, 100. a resident of the
Mitchell Nursing Home. died Sunday May
13 at her residence.
Born in Brodhagen on Feb 12. 1884, she
was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Frederick Ahrens, On Feb 12. 1908 she
married Albert Wolfe who died July 25,
1969 The cnupl'e had farmed in Logan
Township until they retired to Mitchell in
1949
She was a member of First Lutheran
Church. Logan Township.
Surviving are four sons. Alvin and
Gordon. both of Mitchell, Norman, of
Milverton and Lloyd. of 100 Mile House,
B C . two daughters. Dorothy. Mrs. Eric
Legless. of R.R.1, Fullarton and Audrey,
Mrs. Ross Balfour, of R.R.2. Dublin, 23
grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and
six great -great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one daughter
Lorena in 193', one granddaughter, two
great-grandsons and one great -great-grand-
daughter She was the last surviving
member of her immediate family since she
was predeceased by one sister and three
brothers.
Funeral services were held Tuesday May
15 at the First Lutheran Church, Logan
Township with Rev. E. Radke officiating.
Interment at the church cemetery.
